I wouldn't go back
Cozy room, towels (swans), hairdryer and water and towels. Parking available but on the street (Jordanian standard).

- • It can't be defined as a hotel but more like a B&B: the check-in was done by the guy from the mini market next to the property. The owner is kind but slightly intrusive, after the aforementioned check-in where he talked to us on the phone, we found him knocking on the door an hour later! Stained sheets. Small and uncomfortable tub for showering standing up and mold on the ceiling.
I would only go back for the location.

Convenient accommodation for Petra
The manager, Ahmad, is very kind and helpful. He communicated with us promptly and responded to all our needs, including breakfast at 5.30 in the morning! The room is equipped with everything necessary, with a very comfortable bed. Safe reserved parking on the street.

- • As in a typical building, there is no heating. The room is equipped with a split that acts as a heat pump for heating, but the warmth does not reach the bathroom, which always remains cold.

The Over Mountain Hotel is comparable in comfort and service to a good Jordanian 4-star hotel. Upscale amenities, a cozy lounge to sit in, large and fully equipped rooms. Host Ahmad is a guide himself and knows Wadi Musa/Petra very well and can give very good help and tips. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. And a big plus: Ahmad also prepares breakfast at 6.30 am for all those who want to start early to Petra or for hiking - unfortunately, in other accommodations, it is often only possible to have breakfast from 8 am, too late if you want to see the sunrise in Petra! So, a full recommendation for this accommodation, comfort, and warmth as you would wish!

I absolutely recommend the property.
Very convenient location to reach the Petra visitor center. Furthermore, the owner was flexible with the check-in and helpful in helping us find the best solutions for activities, food, and everything we needed. The room was very cozy, with air conditioning and every necessary comfort. Breakfast prepared on the spot for us.

Perfect
We stayed here for just one night, but we were incredibly comfortable. Ahmad took care of all our needs from the very first moment until the end. He gave us amazing recommendations about Petra, and thanks to him we were able to explore everywhere very easily. Even though we had to wake up very early in the morning, he woke up as well and prepared breakfast for us. He responded to all our questions immediately. The location was also extremely close to Petra. This is by far the best place you can stay in this area. You don’t even need to think twice.
