All that glitters is not gold. Mind the sewage...

- • We had booked a double room with a private pool. Firstly when I walked into our room the smell of damp mildew hit me. We were moved to another equivalent room. The room was heavily perfumed. Later, after I asked them to stop spraying, it became clear why they sprayed so heavily there. The mildew smell was once again present.. Along with the rising smell of SEWAGE. It comes in waves again and again. The room itself was dark, the bathroom and mirrors/basin section which is a divider between the rest of the room was so dark plus it was backless so things fall off and it's hard to get to them. It was like being in a wannabe temporary club bathroom. Not great when you actually wanna see & not great in the day at all. There are these weird big black straw things hanging over the pillow area of the bed, dusty and creepy. Our private pool had toenail skin on the steps into the pool and someone else's discarded champagne bottle wrapping left lying around. The pool was not clean. You could see hairs and bits floating in the water. So much for the joy of having a private pool. The stench of sewage kept coming up. I searched online and saw that there is an issue in Ornos with sewage, and the year before the sewage had burst onto the streets there. I wasn't going to wait around for it to happen again. I had booked for 5 nights and it was highest season prices. This was not what I was paying for. Not a holiday. The beach was small, crammed and there were boats everywhere in the little bay, and back to back restaurants jammed along the small beach. Even the sand and sea felt unclean there. I went to speak to the front desk to explain I wasn't going to stay any longer. The manager was foul. There's no other word for it. It took me having to raise my voice to get a partial refund. The arrogance and total lack of diplomacy with regards to customer service was stunning. Never again. We moved to Elia beach. My advice? Stay at Elia beach instead and avoid this.

Excellent stay at this hotel! I particularly appreciated the quality of service, with welcoming, available, and professional staff. The cleanliness of the establishment and the room was impeccable, which really contributed to making the stay pleasant and relaxing. The value for money is also excellent: the services are up to par, even beyond what one can expect for the proposed rate. A very nice experience for my vacation. I highly recommend this hotel and would return with great pleasure!

- • Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. We had booked two double rooms at this hotel, so we were not occasional visitors but paying guests. On the first day, we were unfairly charged €140 for two additional sunbeds that were never used, even though we had already paid for our own sunbeds and had also ordered drinks from the bar. After contacting the management, the issue was eventually resolved, which I appreciated. However, the following day, my sister came to the hotel simply to meet me for a coffee at the bar. She was elegantly dressed and was clearly not there to use the beach, the sunbeds or any hotel facilities. Despite this, the same blonde staff member from the beach refused to let her enter, telling her that because she was not staying at the hotel, she was not allowed inside. I found this completely unreasonable and extremely unwelcoming. She was not trying to access the beach or use any facilities for free — she simply wanted to join me, as a hotel guest, for a coffee at the bar. After the incident from the previous day, this second situation made the whole experience feel unnecessarily hostile and left us with a very poor impression of the way guests and their visitors are treated. Although management resolved the first complaint, the attitude and behavior of some staff members significantly affected our overall experience. Considering that we had booked two double rooms and were paying guests of the hotel, I find this level of treatment particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, after these experiences, I can say with certainty that I will never stay at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel, on the beach out of the Mykonos wind, cost €25 to get into the old port, excellent staff
