Excellent value for money
The staff and the owner Amr are very nice. The restaurant is very good. The managers made sure I had everything I needed. I would go back!

- • The property is a bit far from the city center but it is very easy to take a taxi.

- • More than a B&B, it felt like being on an open construction site. Around the structure, open construction sites in a state of abandonment, Bedouin encampments with attached dogs and chickens. Poor cleanliness of the rooms, toilets, and all surrounding areas. Breakfast was a real disaster, no choice at all. It's like: either you eat this soup or you jump out the window. The waiting time for breakfast ranged from 30 to 40 minutes. The whole structure was 'managed' by 3 young boys aged between 16 and 20. Sadly, I have to admit that there is not even remotely a culture of hospitality and tourism. Ideal only for a stopover for one or at most two nights.

The owner gave us free snorkeling equipment. The waiters/manager's assistants were very kind and helpful even though they spoke very little English and were clearly inexperienced. Organized transport from the hotel to Luxor at 65€ per person with a very good driver.

- • The location was very inconvenient, far from all the beautiful beaches because those nearby are dirty and neglected, and the area is a huge open construction site of hotels started and not finished and piles of rubble, so we had to be taken by a hotel-affiliated taxi everywhere, we even had to pay 5€ each just to be taken to an ATM to withdraw money because they do not accept credit cards at the hotel and generally almost everywhere. Cost summary for user information: 4€ each for breakfast, 8€ for lunch, 10€ for dinner, 15€ per person for about half an hour of transport, entrance fee to Abu Dabbab 20€ per person, Sharm el Luli 5€ per person and 5€ for the driver, and taxi cost 25€ for an hour of driving per person. You do the math.
Nice experience
Quiet area 3 km from the center of Marsa Alam, around the hotel everything was under construction for 2 nights it's fine, the beautiful beaches are 1 hour away by taxi, we went to Sham al Luli like the Maldives. Friendly and courteous staff, good food.

The owners (Assan and his wife), the team (especially Marcelo and Budy) are very welcoming. Attentive to the needs of the guests and available. The area is quiet, with a beautiful free beach. Very close (5 minutes walk) to the port from which excursions to Samadai Bay (Dolphin house) depart, and 2 km from the town center. Good value for money for both breakfast and dinner, with freshly cooked dishes. A more relaxing way to live and discover Marsa Alam. Recommended!

I had a very pleasant stay at The Reef House Hotel in Marsa Alam. What truly made the difference was the staff! Always kind, available, and genuinely helpful. They supported me not only in organizing my daily activities but also went the extra mile by assisting me in obtaining a refund after an excursion didn’t go as planned. This level of care is something you don’t find everywhere. A special thanks to Ali, Marcelo, and Budi for their hospitality and constant support. In particular, Budi was incredibly attentive! After I had already checked out, I accidentally left my phone in the room, and he immediately contacted me to make sure I got it back. Highly recommended for both the atmosphere and the outstanding service!
