Dream accommodation, but lacks management capacity.
The location is fantastic. The structure of the restaurant and lounge is impressive. The huts look like they're from a movie. The shared bathrooms are good.

- • The staff is not adequately trained to serve meals. They brought the main course and forgot the starter. They brought dessert before finishing the main course and, despite being called out, still wanted to leave the dessert on the table. There was no responsible person with ownership to guide the team.
PERFECTION
Everything was amazing - great staff, amazing beaches, amazing food, super quiet and relaxing. Exactly what I needed!

The whole stay was incredible. The island is a little paradise. I thought I would miss the internet, but I didn't. It felt great and allowed me to enjoy that incredible sea more. Our little house was beautiful, the staff very friendly, good food.

- • - felt expensive for what it was; rooms were interesting but not very comfortable, minimal areas to sit / chill other than the restaurant, fans were old/functioning badly - we were expecting more of a community feel as this seemed common in the Philippines, everything seemed quite independent. activities like yoga etc cost extra (would have been great to get a free taster class or for Dryft to have put on some activities, as other than chilling there was nothing to do) - minimal vegetarian options, which sometimes ran out in the first half meal time - staff seemed entirely focused on running the restaurant/cafe - considering it was the only option for food & drink, the restaurant was expensive - we ended up paying an additional 65% of our room cost on food & drink

- • No air conditioning, but that was clear to us beforehand and is understandable.
A disappointing experience, far from what is promised
In summary: a nice idea on paper, which deserves to be better executed. At this price level, expectations are high, and unfortunately, we left disappointed.

- • We travel regularly and always leave positive reviews. It is a first for us to share such a negative experience. The price: unjustifiable. For the price charged, the service is well below what one would expect. Ironically, some of our best accommodations at 20€/night in the Philippines offered much more. The 'glamping' concept: a nice view, that's all. The view from the bed is truly magnificent - it's the only strong point. But absolutely everything is monetized, down to the paddle at 500 pesos per hour. This is not what we expected at this price level. The service: paradoxical and frustrating. The establishment claims to be 'disconnected' - no wifi, no network. A nice intention... except that all the staff was constantly on their phones scrolling. We were the only guests, surrounded by 10-12 employees, and we waited 20 minutes each time to be served. When my husband asked for 2 hours of wifi for a nighttime professional meeting, he was told to cross the island with a flashlight to find a connection elsewhere. Incomprehensible. The meals: good, but the most expensive in the Philippines. The quality is there, but at prices that have no relation to the local reality. The lesson by contrast: Dos Playa Ecocamp. On the same day, we chose to spend the day at Dos Playa Ecocamp, at the other end of the island. My husband was sick. Without us asking for anything, they found him a medicine and prepared a tea - offered, naturally. A sincere attention, absolute kindness, without expecting anything in return. The place radiates good energies and humanity. Everything that Dryft, despite its premium rates, failed to offer. That's where we should have booked. And that's where we recommend you to go.
Very nice accommodation with several areas for improvement
Nice welcome with a refreshing drink. Delicious food, comfortable bed, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, except for one night when I had to wake up because the dogs were barking non-stop as if they were right by my hut. When I mentioned it, they apologized, and the next night I heard them again but not for long and not as loud. Nice staff, helped me take a few pictures 🥰

- • Not many options for vegetarian meals, and when available, they were usually the most expensive on the menu. My concerns were not addressed during the 3 nights I spent there, such as my booked massage not being organized, etc. which I found very disappointing and felt like the staff had no desire to work or that guest satisfaction was not a priority, especially since there were very few guests at that time. The massage was also not good and more expensive than other places in El Nido. When I gave a few pieces of underwear with a very light, thin dress to wash, it was charged much more because the weight apparently exceeded 2KG, which I simply could not imagine, as before handing them over, I assumed it would not even be 1KG, but maybe they assume that no one who comes there to relax, like me, has no desire to argue and just pays. I also found it unfortunate that the beach became 'dirtier' over time, with many leaves, stones, etc. You had to walk carefully over them to get into the water, but the beach was otherwise very beautiful!
