Traditional stay in Ubud
Quiet room, despite being in the center of Ubud. Much appreciated having the fridge on the balcony, outside the room. Easy to move around on foot or with Grab, very convenient. Numerous excellent restaurants nearby, both traditional and Western, and massage centers. Good breakfast served on a beautiful terrace. Helpful staff with efficient laundry service. The property is organized like a traditional Balinese house surrounded by greenery, our guide even stopped to explain the meaning of each building, very interesting!

The best you can get in Ubud.
Everything was perfect!!!! The location was very near the center and, most importantly, very close to the rice fields. I did the Campuhan Ridge Walk, the start is near Pondok Bambu, and when you are there, also go to Kajeng Ricefields, beautiful. The little swimming pool was very nice, breakfast was really good, especially the banana pancake. I enjoyed walking along the family houses in front of my room, they are all very friendly like the staff. I was also invited to attend a traditional cremation. What more can I say, come here if you want a very nice homestay.

The room is large, quiet, and comfortable. Not far from the center of Ubud. The staff is very helpful. Original setting with locals. The breakfast is nice.

- • The air conditioning is a bit noisy. The linens could use more attention. A luggage rack would have been appreciated.

Hotel Pondok Bambu Homestay is run by the owner, a very kind, helpful, friendly, and courteous person. Good breakfast, always served with a plate of fresh fruits. We had the luxury room, which was cleaned daily, large, cool, and very clean. Only lacking a fridge, kettle, and hairdryer. But when we asked for a kettle and hairdryer, the owner immediately brought them to our room. He didn't bring a fridge maybe because he didn't have one available, but it wasn't a problem as we could store some small items in the shared fridge. I highly recommend this homestay in every aspect.

Overall, good location, friendly accommodating family, and clean AC'd room.
The staff was great, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. It was also clean and quiet, with AC.

- • The WiFi wasn't working in my room the first day & a half, but they were able to get it going after a while. Also, there weren't any vegan options for the free breakfast, so I didn't eat there.
Magnificent stay
Everything is perfect. Clean and spacious room, breakfast (multiple choices). Very pleasant outdoor space. Host provides very good advice, and to top it off, we asked if he could recommend someone for a day at the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, and it was perfect. Madé, the son, served as our driver but also as our guide for the day, suggesting several stops along the way. So the next day, we repeated the experience with Madé, who offered us a purification session. He accompanied us throughout the process, explaining the steps. It was two wonderful days. Thank you very much for this experience in Ubud. It was the beginning of our stay in Bali, we are delighted and we highly recommend this place with our eyes closed. Thanks again

- • Nothing. The pool is small, has one lounge chair, and doesn't get sun for most of the day. But this wasn't a problem for me
