- • Room key card had constant issues, but the front desk staff were very thoughtful and tirelessly helped you solve the problem!

- • It had a balcony, but it was not usable for sitting. Smoking/vaping and bringing chairs onto the balcony were completely restricted. I paid for a balcony but couldn't enjoy it.
Lovely view and excellent location
Excellent location with a city view. The room was very comfortable and spotless. The small kitchenette was adequate for two.

- • There was a disco in front when we arrived, but it ended at 9 p.m., so it was quiet afterward.

- • Due to having our toy poodle with us (he's 3kg and tiny like a puppy), it was unsafe to leave the terrace doors open as he could easily fall through the horizontal railings. Breakfast was good, but lacked diverse choices like various juices or baked goods.
The hotel is conveniently located near Waverley train station and St. James Quarter shopping mall. To access the hotel, walk past the mall to find the hotel door (next to a traffic light) with a lift to the lobby. We stayed in the Family Grande Studio with a nice view of Calton Hill. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we checked out at 4:00 a.m., the reception staff were available to assist and arrange a taxi, providing great peace of mind. Free croissants in the morning and complimentary coffee/tea all day in the lobby were nice touches.

- • The default housekeeping schedule for stays of 4 nights or more felt somewhat limited given the room rate. However, daily housekeeping is available upon request with a sign on the door, and our room was cleaned as requested.
