Everything about this stay exceeded expectations. Great location, gorgeous rooms, excellent food. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal.

Fantastic little boutique hotel
Loved the design and sophistication of the rooms, incredibly beautiful marble, patterns on it, especially pink, great breakfast, all staff very friendly, the hotel partner even more beautiful with a fantastic view of the city

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place
Everything about this hotel was lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious. The setting of the restaurant was very pretty, overlooking a valley. The room was immaculate and very spacious - and comfortable!

Beautiful on the face of it, but a few issues
Location is ideal. Big room, tastefully decorated. Breakfast was beautiful. Staff are super friendly.

- • Noise travels. We arrived a few days before our wedding to relax… but we did not leave very relaxed. We stayed on the same level as the entrance. On our first day, after a long day of travel we wanted to nap but was abruptly woken up by another guest having a screaming match with someone on the phone for 20 minutes. The staff did not intervene to remind her there were other guests in the hotel. Even when she eventually went into her room, we could hear everything. Breakfast was beautiful, so much choice. But everyday a group of staff congregated at the entrance of the breakfast room talking very loudly. Impossible to relax. This loud talking also spilled into the entrance area. Which didn’t make for very relaxing environment. It’s an old house and I understand sound proofing isn’t always possible, but there should be an awareness of this with guests experience in mind, particularly for the high price per night. Also there was a bath with a hand held shower head in the room, but no shower. My wife did not enjoy washing her hair, it was an inconvenience particularly when we were in a rush with last minute wedding organizing. Lastly, there was never a member of staff manning the reception desk - several times we had questions, wanted water or wanted to address one of the above issues, but to no avail.
Incredibly beautiful rooms in a wonderful location.
We felt like royalty in beautiful adjoining rooms. The breakfast was fantastic! It was close to the train station and the tourist attractions but far enough away from crowds.

A perfect stay in a lovely hotel with excellent staff. Couldn’t be better.
Perfect location, beautiful room, lovely breakfast and the staff were excellent. We loved the fact that the sister hotel is a short walk and the facilities are available for us to use. The cheese and wine evenings on the terrace were excellent.
