A hotel with a soul
The Standard offers a relaxing experience. Everything is done to give you the feel you having a break. The hotel restyling is a success. The area around the pool with the bar and the restaurants is nicely done. Rooms are large and nicely decorated. Breakfast is excellent. Food at the Thai restaurant was nice, particularly the set menu (to share).

- • Our room was advertised with two double beds... which is not really the case as they are on 4.5 feet wide each. The staff helped us by putting the 2 beds together and preparing the sofa as an extra bed
Nice hotel and very pet-friendly
I like the location, the atmosphere, the vibes and the convenience of the layout flow of the hotel. The rooms were clean and designed for pet-friendly as claimed. The staff is friendly. Yet, the food was rather pricey compared to the amount. But overall very impressive.

Loved my stay, hassle free, great vibe, nice touches - a thoughtful brand and property.

Very tasty Italian sandwich at lunch in Lido. Love the glass Coke bottles and other cool touches. The minibar in general is better than elsewhere. That bit of thought and effort goes a long way.

- • My hot latte came in 3 completely different volumes each morning, the first a third full like someone had already enjoyed most of it and I was getting it second hand, the second two thirds full only, the third full. “Egg Benedict” is a bit disappointing, a little small and lacking taste / seasoning. Sofa and coffee style table in room look nice but not great to work at. Didn’t love the bathroom amenities - shampoo and conditioner pretty harsh. Ended up using the soap bar (thanks) instead of the body wash.

Fabulous relaxing stay
Wonderful staff and really pleasant check in experience. The breakfast was superb and the Thai tapas restaurant brilliant. The pool and bar facilities also very good. Big hello to Jennifer and the staff who go above and beyond to help people

- • The coffee bags in the room are terrible and I used the almond milk from the mini bar as there’s no milk available with the coffee.
