A Reliable Choice
Holiday Inn Express Airport Zone worked very well for our late-night arrival. The airport shuttle was much appreciated, and communicating with the shuttle driver via WeChat made it easy for him to locate us. Check-in was also quick and easy. Our room was spacious, almost brand new and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, and both the water pressure and air conditioning were good. All I really wanted when I arrived in Chongqing in the wee hours of the morning was a quick shower and to get straight into bed, and this hotel served that purpose perfectly. The coffee machine at breakfast produced a surprisingly robust cup of coffee, which I enjoyed. After breakfast, we had no problems getting a DiDi into the city. In the lobby, they have a weighing scale for your luggage, a practical and thoughtful touch.

- • The breakfast buffet had a reasonable variety, but it consisted mainly of high-carb dishes and was lacking in protein. Also, note that there are local hotels in the vicinity which also offer shuttle service, and are highly rated, but cost far less. But we are very happy with our choice.
We only stayed for one night. The hotel is efficient and close to the airport. We were provided with a takeaway breakfast as our flight was very early in the morning. It wasn't the best breakfast, but it deserves credit for being offered.

The hotel is conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport by taxi. There is a metro line 10 station just 3 minutes away from the hotel. You can reach any location in the city easily. The rooms are clean, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning. The free shuttle back to the airport is very convenient.

- • No refrigerator in the room
Location is good, rooms tidy. Staff speak some English! I was pleased to find walking proximity to a beautiful park, which is unexpected for an airport hotel. This made for a lovely morning walk.

Great choice for a long overlay between flights
Great choice for a long overlay between flights. The staff were very helpful. Shuttle service from and to the airport worked well, as long as you have WeChat.

- • The hotel is relatively remote, and upon entering the room with a child, there was a strong smell of smoke. Due to rushing for a flight, breakfast was provided in the morning. There were 7 of us, and 3 people's breakfast got wet and fell directly on the ground because the egg broke and leaked into the paper bag. A very rushed experience.
Clean room with breakfast available. Can receive packages on behalf.
