- • There was a misunderstanding after booking - they said there were no rooms but then everything was found. Overall recommend

- • No utensils, not even a mug or cutlery. Note check-in isn't until 4 pm with no possibility of early check-in. Self-check-in process not straightforward for foreigners.
Be prepared for a struggle to check in to this substandard hotel

- • Robot check-in in Korean was frustrating. Email that supplied key code was blocked by a pop-up in Korean that couldn’t be removed. Fortunately a Korean Samaritan stepped in to help, and even he was confused because the room number started with A, but our room was not be found in building A, but in building B. Room itself was not designed as a hotel room, making it difficult to access luggage or hang clothes.

- • Self-check-in that didn’t really work! Absolutely nothing in the room. Yes, a kitchen but no cups, plates, cutlery, cooking utensils. In fact, there was a sign saying, do not cook!! Very weird!
Nearby beach, many restaurants, can find plenty of food. The room was clean and comfortable. Location was great and staff were helpful if you needed anything.

On the beach and clean
Sokcho is a great location and this hotel is right on the beach. The beds were comfy. The TVs worked. The bathroom fixtures were nice. We requested rooms next to each other and they put someone right between us. Not sure why, the hotel was pretty empty. But they were close to each other so I appreciate that.

- • There is nobody at the property to talk to if you’re having a problem. You will have to communicate via your phone/internet. Which became tricky for us at times because we only had one phone with internet capabilities. Getting into our rooms was harder than it needed to be because of this complication. Also, our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke but it wasn’t like we could complain to the front desk so we just opened the doors. Also, it had those bathrooms where the walls are glass and you can see people inside (but there was privacy blur). I just hate those bathroom walls and thought I should warn others. lol.
Nice location a few steps from the beach and 3 minutes from the Ferris wheel. Although the reception is "online," I was quickly helped and the check-in was uncomplicated.
