Far away from our usual experience with MGallery hotels
Reception staff is kind at check in but the rooms are really small and for such a price we didn’t expect having our bed straight in front of the door, avoid room 720!!

Really great, centrally located Athens hotels
The Athens Capital Center Hotel is well located and feels like a flagship MGallery property. We had two connecting rooms on the 2nd floor overlooking the front street, which initially was of concern due to the potential for noise, but the windows offered serious soundproofing and therefore the rooms were pin drop quiet. The doors to the hotel are also designed for soundproofing so little hallway noise is heard. Considering the location in the center of Athens, we had very restful nights here. The rooms are well designed with nice finishes one would expect from a design focused contemporary international hotel. Housekeeping was prompt and the rooms spotless. Between the lobby bar/cafe, the rooftop pool and bar, and the main restaurant, there are enough dining venues to offer variety. For those needing connecting rooms, room 205 connects internally with 206 (and I’d assume the same to be true on higher floors) and 203 and 204 can be configured to share a private hallway. I highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Horrible experience
I am extremely disappointed with my stay at the Athens Capital Hotel, part of the MGallery collection. The front desk staff was dismissive and unhelpful, and we waited over an hour just to get checked into our room. Once we finally entered, the bed was unbearably uncomfortable—small, low to the ground, and you could feel the springs. Overall, a terrible experience that left us feeling frustrated and undervalued as guests

Stay somewhere else.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a disappointing stay at such a highly rated hotel. Spent half my day just trying to check in after 20 hours of travel, wasting most of the one day I had to spend in Athens. Unresponsive staff. Mediocre accommodations and overpriced mediocre food. The room is basically what you’d expect from a middle American business hotel. The location is good but there are surely many other hotels around. Honestly if the service had been better I would not have said anything, but it collectively all felt insulting. Just absolutely not worth the money.

Amazing stay!
We stayed here in may 2026 and loved this hotel! The service is very nice, the breakfast is amazing, so quick to respond to emails when needed, the room is very nice and modern. The roof is gorgeous with acropolis views. Great vacation! Would love to come back!

Luxury hotel with zero customer service
Nothing says “luxury hospitality” quite like ignoring a guest for two months after taking their money and receiving all the documentation you requested. I had a reservation at Athens Capital Hotel - MGallery Collection, but my holiday was completely disrupted when Qatar Airways cancelled my flights due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. As a result, I was unable to travel to Greece through absolutely no fault of my own. Nearly two months ago, I contacted the hotel to requesting a cancellation given these extraordinary circumstances. They responded once, requested supporting documentation, I provided the official cancellation certificate from Qatar Airways exactly as requested. Since then? Silence. Despite multiple follow-up emails over the course of almost two months, the hotel has simply stopped communicating. No decision. No explanation. No courtesy update. No attempt to engage with a paying customer whose travel plans were cancelled because of a major international conflict. At this point, the issue is no longer just about the money. It’s about the complete disregard shown towards a guest who acted promptly, supplied all requested evidence, and has made every reasonable effort to resolve the matter professionally. For a hotel that promotes itself as a luxury property, the customer service has been anything but luxurious. I’ve never experienced a hotel so willing to take a guest’s money while completely ignoring them for nearly two months. The most disappointing part of my experience with Athens Capital Hotel wasn’t losing my holiday—it was the hotel’s complete refusal to communicate afterward.

Excellent Hotel in Athen
Our stay at Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery Collection was outstanding and the perfect way to experience Athens. The rooftop bar and restaurant are truly next level—with breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Acropolis that make for an unforgettable setting, especially at sunset. It’s one of those places you find yourself going back to again and again during your stay. The location couldn’t be better. You can easily walk to the Acropolis and Plaka, making it ideal for exploring the city without needing transportation. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable—exactly what you want after a full day of sightseeing. And the staff was absolutely on top of their game—professional, attentive, and consistently excellent. This hotel checks every box. Highly recommend.

A+ for The Capital
With one of the best positions in the City, we have found this hotel to work perfectly for us. Multiple stays, all very good. A young, but eager staff are always welcoming and approachable, ready to help. Rooms vary, but are all clean, well equipped, and quiet. Great beds, fab shower. Stavros, manager in the dining room is a big asset to the property. He never stops moving and directing during the very busy and excellent breakfast. Maria, who must have been a supervisor understood busy food service, while keeping it refined and friendly. Lobby/street cafe...wonderful. We'll be back.
