Perfect for a city trip, very centrally located, large luggage lockers. Spacious room, functional, tasteful, modern furnishings. Friendly, competent service. No 'single-use' chatbots with standard solutions, but a staffed lobby!!! Secure bicycle storage!

Stylish place in the heart of the city
Great place, with style, everything is clean and in good condition. Kitchen is well equipped also. It was a big pleasure to stay there.

- • No AC in the room, so if you travel in August during a heatwave, it can be a problem ;)
Discovering Ghent
Getaway is located in a historic building, a fifteen-minute walk from Gent-Dampoort station. It is also within walking distance of the historic center and many eateries. The building has been renovated with class, which is evident when you enter. You can check in online, but the helpful receptionists also do this at the front desk. The entire place was renovated in 2020, but some areas seem to have been affected by wear and tear. Overall, the room was fine and certainly spacious enough. Downstairs, we had a kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area (with a sofa bed) available, and upstairs there was a double bed and a single bed. For warm days, there are 2 fans available, but unfortunately, this didn't help much. Fortunately, we could easily turn to the receptionists with all our questions.

- • Unfortunately, there was so much dust in several places on the upper floor that you could spontaneously develop a dust allergy. Also, the finish of the shower has seen better days. It's a shame because these flaws detract from the luxury feeling.

- • Lack of space: there is no place for suitcases, which forces us to put them on the floor and thus complicates circulation in the apartment

- • The room was very large but under the eaves (and no large windows), so it was relatively hot during our visit in the middle of summer.

Very clean, comfortable, easy to check-in. The room is as shown in pictures. Location is also not far from the center. Staff were very nice.

A good choice to stay in this city, everything is well thought out in the room from the stove to the iron.
