- • Breakfast management was bad and the floor staff were unresponsive with fake smiles only. Messed up my orders. Manager totally forgot my request and was busy greetings other Guests which was also with a fake smile. Swimming pool etiquette was poor but staff were helpless and not to be blamed. Fellow guests were lacking this. Dinner was over pricy . Gym was good.
The reception was great, the room was spacious with a beautiful sea view, in addition to having a Jacuzzi inside the room. The room has most of the services, the only problem was the smell of moisture in the furniture and carpet due to the proximity of the place to the sea and lack of ventilation, but it was dealt with directly after contacting them, and they took the necessary measures (important for those with nasal or chest allergies). The hotel features a grand design but lacks wide green spaces as a resort; they are there but not of that great expanse. The breakfast was very good, and so was the dinner, with Indian meals, Chinese meals, and other diverse dishes, many of which are served through live cooking stations. You can also request drinks and hot bread for free. The reception, check-in, and check-out procedures were very easy and smooth, and the staff were very cheerful and helpful.

The breakfast spread was excellent with live stations, plenty of hot food, and great cold options. The restaurants also served really good food for both lunch and dinner. Great location, very close to central Chennai. Library Blue Bar had a lively atmosphere and was a great spot in the evening. The spa treatments were incredible and definitely worth experiencing. What made the stay even better was the amazing staff, everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Would absolutely stay again.

- • We wanted to take photos and had already received permission from the reception. However, when we wanted to take photos outside, the employees of The Leela Palace said that only photos with the phone were allowed and not with a camera or for taking pictures with a camera. I do not understand the difference between phone photos and camera photos. Moreover, it is indirectly also good advertising for the hotel when guests publish their pictures on Instagram or Facebook. Unfortunately, it seems that no one understands this there. I ask that all employees at The Leela Palace know and adhere to the same rules. At the reception, we were told that we could take photos, but then outside, it was suddenly said that photos with a camera were not allowed. This situation annoyed me a lot.
3 nights at a beautiful hotel that is a class above. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
It is a beautiful property. Very classy yet creates a friendly relaxed place to stay. Food, staff and facilities were first class.
