- • togliere il calcare dalla doccia anche se pulito da una sensazione di poca igiene, sistemare i muri scrostati, insonorizzare la stanza, si sentiva i litigi dei vicini come se fossero in stanza, e la musica pompata notturna fino a tarda notte del pub che è a pian terreno del palazzo.

- • The bathroom smelled horrible (the staff asked me to run the water in the sink for a few minutes but in the end it didn't solve the smell), the shower head doesn't hold, the showering gel was filled with water in my case (🤷🤷🤷), luckily the staff gave me another one after my complaint. Many things were so wrong during my stay here, I was very disappointed, the only good thing was the friendliness of the people who work there.

Very comfortable with helpful staff. Impressive historic property in the old part of town. Short walk to the centre. Lots of restaurants nearby. Great location.

Absolutely no way is this a 3 star hotel. Location is ok for site seeing but some of the local is very shady.
The price was ok and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

- • My room was directly next to reception. Very strange to hear all the conversations of people checking in whilst lying in bed. Bathroom wasn’t great, things hanging off the walls, ceiling plaster and paint falling off.
Very accommodating and pleasant, central location
Accommodated a very late booking (we discovered on arrival in Catania that our original hotel had cancelled our booking) and receptionist was very helpful. Amazing ceilings.

Location was perfect -- right in the center of Catania. The Hotel is an old building but I had an enourmous room with a ceiling that must be 15 feet high! Air con was excellent as were the facilities. Room had a balcony overlooking the square. A huge number of open air street restaurants near by.

- • It’s centrally located but 1. Above a strip club and 2. On a square that’s not really accessible by car or taxi. The reception and rooms are on upper floors with no elevator. The reception is not open if you arrive in the evening.

- • Aircon leaked and then didn’t work (room was roughly 26/27 degrees Celsius, room smelled like mould. The room was filthy too. We asked to change rooms and we got moved to a room with the most uncomfortable bed ever. Springs left marks in skin the next morning and was not comfortable.

This "hotel" is nothing more than an overpriced hostel. To begin with, there is no lift to the 1st & 2nd floor where the reception and guest rooms are located (mind you, building from beginning 20th century with high ceilings...). As we left early, we requested a water kettle to make our coffee. The water kettle was promised and the mugs selected, but not provided. As Reception closed by 8 pm and did not open before 8 am, nothing could be done about it. The AC was also not repaired.

- • The bed was absolutely terrible. You could feel the springs of the mattress. I’m not joking: sleeping on the floor would be more comfortable.

Location is ok to visit the main attractions of Catania, 10' walk and you are in the center of the city View from our small balcony was lovely, very Sicilian!! The lovely lady at the reception was very nice and helpful.

- • Bathroom was old and not very clean. Showering there was not a pleasant experience The main disadvantage of the hotel is the very loud music playing from a club next door until the early hours in the morning.
It was really nice and comfortable, the balconies were also great - and - everything is nearby

- • The walls are so thin that you can hear even the person in the other room sneezing or moving a chair. At night, terrible noise on the floor above, the room is much smaller than in the description. Wet sheets on the bed. There is not even water to drink. This is definitely not a three-star standard.

- • No fault of their own. Next to a building site / renovation works. When that is finished it will be a nice open area in front of the hotel
When I come to Catania, I always choose this hotel!
I like the location and nice staff. I added breakfast to my stay and felt like real Italian :) Good place to come back!

- • The air con did not work. The bathroom cup was dirty. No glass or water and mini bar was empty. Curtain hanging off rail. Very run down and to call it a hotel is not an accurate description l. More like a pension for budget travellers.
Enough for a night stay after a late flight to Catania
Close to the station, and super comfy bed, spacious room. Easy self check in. Clean bedding and towels. You have hand soap and shower gel provided.

- • The bathroom is run down, the shower cabin needs to be deep cleaned as there are water stains everywhere, the shower was broken. No air con in the room.

In a great location. Beautiful old heritage building which would have been very grand in its heyday. Staff were very helpful and carried our bags up the two flights of stairs for us and down again on departure. Also got us a jug and tea bags so we could make a cup of tea in our room. Would stay there again if in Catania. Just don’t expect 5 star but you are not paying 5 star prices.

Our stay was in the Deluxe Double Room, on the second floor. The room was spacious, high-ceilinged, and had an en suite bathroom and a small balcony. If there was any noise, it was no more than the general hustle and bustle of Central Catania at nighttime; it's a lively city! The staff were very accommodating about out late check-in also.

We read a lot of reviews where people said it was very noisy there so we were worried about it but it was very quiet and there was no music to be heard at all, so it either depends on your room or cause the stripclub near was closed (it's been closed the whole week that we were there so I'm not sure if it's working at all). The location is excellent. We were travelling without a car and the location was perfect for us. Everything was near - Via Etnea 3 minutes away, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, the bus stop of the bus D that'll bring you to the beach is 10-15 mins walking distance. The staff is nice and helpful. Interior is superb, ceilings and furniture are beautiful and the balconies on the floor are very nice and cozy.

I like everything here! Location is exactly comfortable. The style is very nice. Like in elegant past. The receptionist is very polite and pleasant. Easy to go to airport and to train station. Lots of restaurants near this hotel.

It is close to the Main Street. The “suite” room had high ceiling and a mini fridge. Staff was very friendly.

- • Old furniture and room's accesories as windows and doors are very used and old, they can not be closed and locked properly. This small issues have nothing to do with the security of the room, which is ok.
Fantastic experience
Excellent hotel and very freindly manager. He offered me a cup of coffee because I said that I was very tired after flight. He explained all sights of Catania. Room is nice, very authentic. Great experience!

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location was great and very central. They allowed us to leave our bags after check out so we could see the city and even gave us a tour of the facility. Very kind people!

- • The room and the general place were a little rundown but the owner took interest in my friend's input on how to make it shine. The wifi was not strong and some of the outlets didn't seem to work well.

- • One working power point, room had over powering fragrance smell - to the point that it was sickening, aircobditionet did not work, bath room was extremely small and in poor condition, no water provided, no tea coffee maki g facilities - this property is listed as Hotel but this NOT a hotel

Firstly, it should be said that the overall expereince was more on the positive than the negative. This is not a hotel so do not be sucked in by the name. It was very clean and tody and the room reserved for 3 people was very adequate and would be considered value for money. Location however leaves something to be desired. Althogh down town and central to most things, the residence is located close by to a strip club/lap dancing establishment. Not so good therefore with kids and music that pumps out well into the early hours of the morning. Would I go again? Certainly not with kids and not if I was looking to get a good night rest. Saturday nights I guess are the worst??
