Happy Holiday in Gaya Island
Perfect holiday in Gaya, beautiful view and nice service. ESPECIALLY thanks to Snorkeling guide Safwan, during the snorkeling activity, his professional and enthusiastic service made us feel safety and satisfied.

Wonderful Experience
We had a wonderful 2 nights and 3 days at the resort and were extremely satisfied with our stay. The highlight of our trip was the private snorkeling tour with Safwan. It was such an amazing experience! We were able to see an unbelievable number and variety of fish right in front of the resort. We also absolutely loved the photos that our guide took for us — they turned out beautifully. Thanks to Safwan, we were able to create safe, joyful, and unforgettable memories. :)

A very pleasant Journey
It was a very pleasant journey. Quite Island, great view, good food and friendly staff. Rachel has taken great care of us. It's quite convenient to do water sports and all kinds of fish to observe. My snorkeling guide Safwan is great and taught me how to find stingray hiding in the sand. I think I will come back in the future.

Wonderful hospitality and back to nature breakaway
Took a 4night break at Gaya Island resort and found it totally relaxing and rejuvenating. Top-notch hospitality from all serving here. Shawn and his team surpassed expectations. Loved the beach right at the resort, great meals and smiley faces. Shout out to Chef Dolis and staff for making every meal feel special. Great hospitality from all. The meal at Omakase was really outstanding. Thks Hurin, Rachel and just about everyone of the service staff, ever ready to make our stay pleasant. Loved the spa. My masseuse Selvarica expertly got rid of the knots and tired muscles from a day out snorkeling, swimming and trekking. Sports centre team were very helpful and guide Safwan helped spot a shark and took great pix. So too Bata and Haikal. Lots of walking from chalets to restaurants and activities but nicely spread out and didn't feel overcrowded or too busy. Game to return soon😍

Birthday celebration, we travelled to this beautiful tranquil place, getting to see monkeys, turtles, lizards, and snakes
The staff go above and beyond to help your stay be stress-free. It is the most beautiful peaceful place we have ever stayed. The quality of food was next level so much to choose from.

The most perfect vacation
Beautiful resort with amazing food and the most wonderful staff!!! The service was incredible, best I‘ve had so far. They offer a bunch of activities, some are complementary and others come with additional (reasonable) costs. E.g. complementary yoga and meditation. We went snorkeling for an additional cost but it was totally worth it! The guide was very experienced and we felt very safe. We would book this place again in a heartbeat ❤️

Island hotel
The hotel is accessible from the mainland via speedboat - there is a charge for this which is not always made clear! You are met and greeted by staff and then taken to your room. We had a Kinabalu villa which is up some very steep steps! Not suitable for those with mobility issues or who are unfit! So I was slightly anxious however we worked out we could get a minibus back to our rooms after we had eaten. Great location and views. We were on a bed and breakfast rate, so obviously paid for our meals, had a buffet one night a lot of choice, but the buffet is not our preference so we dined in the fisherman’s cove al la carte for two nights and then had meals by poolside with happy hour cocktails. There is a range of activities which are on a chalkboard in reception and you book - some you have to pay for. Reading back some of the comments yes I agree the rooms are a little tired, and maybe in need of a bit of TLC…the AC has to run so that you have hot water - there are seats outside which have cushions but not comfortable as no padding on the wooden seats. Having said all this it is an idyllic setting where you can get away from it all and chill [unless you happen to be unlucky when inundated by some very loud overseas visitors]. Would I go again yes! It there are other places I’d want to visit.
