Fantastic home away from home
Fantastic service, location and accommodation. I had a dog with me and its the first time Ive stayed somewhere with my pet and Cascades were exceeded my expectations! I would happily stay there again!

For the price you expect budget but sadly there were aspects of this room that fell below that

- • The facilities in the room are tired, The cook top was adequate but very basic. The bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable. The air con was very loud and made creaking noises all night. Just a little more finer touches would help make this place a real gem but right now it is very far away from this. The tv is good with lots of choices available.

Great overnight stay in Taupo
Comfortable king-size bed (a must for my tall husband) and access to a jacuzzi that we had to ourselves thanks to a booking process. Room had extra beds upstairs in a loft, which we didn't need, but useful for families.

Waterfront unit ideal for sunset dinner and dawn colours
The waterfront apartment was a brilliant location immediately on to the lake. The courtyard with table and chairs makes for a brilliant lakeside sunset meal location. Two bathrooms for a family stay was ideal. Spa bath upstairs was great. Beds were comfy, unit was warm in a chilly autumn night.

- • Heat variation across the main area and mezzanine was noticeable. The bathroom’s lack of extractor fan lead to condensation throughout the unit.
