A trully delightful exoerience in Catania, elegant surroundings, excellent service and perfecf locat
10/10 – Excellent accommodation in the heart of Catania Perfect location, right in the center of Catania, on the main pedestrian street. The room was large, spacious, very clean and comfortable, with three beds and a small balcony. Daily cleaning. Breakfast was very good and varied, international buffet style, with fruit and croissants. The breakfast room is absolutely spectacular, with historic décor, painted walls and elegant furniture – a truly unique experience, like dining in a museum or a palace. The host was extremely kind and attentive. A big plus for the special care shown to my child who has gluten intolerance – every morning we received gluten-free products. Highly recommended!

Palazzo storico all' angolo di via Etnea, ottima location soprattutto per chi viaggia senza auto. Camera decorosa, pulita, ma con un appunto al materasso che pendeva da un lato (camera con letto singolo). Colazione discreta. Il gestore, Gaetano, gentile e disponibile. Parcheggio a circa due km con servizio navetta. Prezzo onesto considerando il periodo natalizio.

Absolut top sind: Personal und Sevice, Lage, Einrichtung. Der Früstückssalon ist absolute spitze! Das angebotene Frühstück deutlich mehr als reichhaltig, vielseitig und sehr lecker. Ich bedauere heute noch, dass ich nur kurze Zeit frühstücken konnte, weil ich zum Flughafen musste.

The location is excellent, just a few meters from Via Etna, there are many restaurants and tourist attractions nearby. We stayed in the large Suite, which is huge and very nicely antique-furnished. The breakfast room is very unique and picturesque, the breakfast is also very good, the real Italian coffee is just impressive! The owner is present at all times, is helpful and knows how to provide useful advice. The sense of security is at the highest level.

- • This is not a real criticism, it is more of a recommendation. Perhaps breakfast could vary a little from day to day in terms of offerings, although the offer is good. We missed local delicacies such as excellent Sicilian cheeses and salamis and olives.

We loved everything about our stay! The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The breakfast room has to be the most magnificent I've ever had the pleasure to eat in! Our room was exceptionally well equipped with a modern, spotlessly clean shower room. Our bedroom was gorgeous with a beautiful, high painted ceiling. Our mattress was so comfortable! The building has a lift which is seldom found in historical buildings. The location is excellent, just off the Via Etnea. The continental breakfast was one of the best we've ever had, and we travel a lot! Free car parking! On the day of departure the accompanied car ride with luggage & our dog to the 24 hour manned car park was such a help for us being in senior years. I absolutely loved our stay and we will definitely return! Thank you Il Gattopardo House, Catania!

- • 素敵な部屋にあとからつけ足したバスルームなので換気扇がとてもやかましかった。駐車場ありだったが、1km以上離れた契約駐車場だったので、一度停めると何度も出入りは難しいかと思いました。駐車場からホテルまでは送迎をしてもらいました。

The location can't be better, in the middle of Via Etnea (actually the door is just round the corner, but the balcony opens on to Via Etnea). The rooms are on two floors of an 18th - 19th century baronial palace. The breakfast room is splendidly decorated (Gattopardo style) and the breakfast is excellent, to my liking.

- • The furniture is a bit dated, but the size of the room more than compensates. The lift is small, slow and situated five steps up or down to reception and first floor. However, staff is eager to help in carrying bags up or down.

Great location and a large room with a balcony on Via Etnea. Breakfast is served in a beautiful palace room. The breakfast itself is sufficiently varied and includes very good quality products.

- • Only 4 hours notice given before check in that our booking had been cancelled because the hotel was supposedly closed. We were not given any notice that our airport transfer had also been cancelled. Not a great experience arriving into Catania at 21.00 hours to arrange alternate accommodation (paying twice as much) and taxi.

Gérant très sympathique. Hotel au décor vintage qui a beaucoup plus à mon humeur. Très bien situé. Petit déjeuner complet et les croissants étaient particulièrement délicieux.

Reggeli változatos. Ami nagyon finom volt az a kávé és a croissantok, különösen a pisztáciás. Catania városnézésre nagyon tökéletes.

- • El parking está muy lejos del alojamiento y no da para ir y volver caminando un grupo como el nuestro de 4 personas con equipaje. Por más que ofrezcan traslado, en el vehículo para trasladarnos no entrábamos los 4 y el equipaje en un solo viaje. Es engañosa la oferta de parking en la página de Booking. Decidimos no usarlo, a pesar de la dificultad en estacionar en la zona. Una habitación no tenía baño propio, y el baño (aunque privado) estaba lejos y no era acogedor.

- • Ci sono da fare 6 gradini, ascensore molto piccolo, parking a 800 metri. Non c'è bidet. La chiave della porta e' una chiave da porta di appartamento.

Suggerisco di variare la descrizione del servizio parcheggio perché ho scoperto solo la mattina del mio arrivo (dopo averlo richiesto io)che il parcheggio gratuito della struttura segnalato su booking non consisteva in un'area di parcheggio sotto l'hotel ma in un posto auto all'interno di un parcheggio sito a 1.6km dalla struttura. Parcheggiare significa in ordine: -entrare in un hotel in Via Monteverdi e avvisare che si è ospiti del Gattopardo -ricevere istruzioni sull'area di parcheggio convenzionata -recarsi nel parcheggio fare la fila e lasciare l'auto -tornare nell'hotel in via Monteverdi e salire su una piccola panda che vi accompagnerà al Gattopardo e che vi verrà a riprendere dopo il check-out Molto scomodo da fare in giorni molto caldi o se si hanno più bagagli, bambini o difficoltà di movimento.
La struttura è in pieno centro, angolo via Etnea. Grazie agli arredamenti della camera e della sala per la colazione sono stato proiettato nel film Il Gattopardo. Colazione super, dolce e salato. Degna di nota la disponibilità del personale e della pulizia degli ambienti.

Wir haben nach der ersten Nacht in eine andere Unterkunft gewechselt, weil wir uns so unwohl gefühlt haben.

- • Der Gastgeber war sehr unfreundlich. Außerdem das Bad, dass es extern sein wird, war bekannt. Allerdings war es in einem schlechten Zustand. Der Duschkopf der Dusche war total kaputt, der Einstieg in die Dusche war lose und ziemlich dreckig. Es hat sehr unangenehm gerochen und der Wasserdruck in der Dusche hätte höchstens fürs Händewaschen gereicht. Auch die Toilette sah nicht so aus, als würde man sich gerne setzen.
