Great location and beautiful property, but not worth it as per our experience

  • We booked a lake view room, but there was no view—obstructed by bushes. Our main door lock came off 4-5 times during our short stay; they didn't do anything to compensate. The room heater stopped working late at night; they provided a portable one, but it was not a great experience, and we didn't feel we got the worth of the money we paid.

  • The cold pool and jacuzzi are really mediocre and the area seemed a bit neglected, the jacuzzi wasn't even half full and cold. So no, it's not an exception, it's never heated. And the staff not very friendly, except for the driver and the evening receptionist. The first hotel in over a month in Vietnam that couldn't provide us with a scooter! Not even an iron. Not even give us tips to optimize our visits.

  • Pool was cold (although advertised as warm), rooms were old and the door wouldn't lock. There was nowhere to get drinking water except an extortionate vending machine in the lobby that sold tiny waters for high prices. Too far from town and room service was poor quality and very expensive. The building had fixtures missing everywhere and wires dangling out of the walls.

5-star environment but 3-star level food and customer service

Beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by trees and the lake. Well-maintained garden and flowers. Great place for enjoying a slow holiday.

  • Receptionists are unhelpful and not 5-star quality standards. Receptionist lied that the hotel was full and was not willing to change our room despite our willingness to pay for an upgrade and having available rooms. They finally accepted after insisting. Receptionist also told us that the kayaks were not available because they were all reserved which wasn’t true as we were able to reserve one on the spot through a different staff member when we went to the quay. Overall, the reception staff is unfriendly, not smiling and does not provide the level of care and service expected for a 5-star stay. On another note, the quality of the food at the restaurant does not match the expectations for a 5-star establishment.

Headline: ⛔️ WARNING: Dishonest Management & Serious Service Failures at Dalat Edensee Lake Resort & Spa

I am writing this to warn fellow travelers about the unprofessionalism and deceptive practices at Dalat Edensee. We stayed in Room 164 (Feb 19-20), and it was a 5-star disaster. Here is the truth behind their "luxury" facade: 1. Lies & Privacy Issues: The Front Office Manager lied, claiming they sent staff to pack our bags without our consent. We returned to find nothing was touched. Why lie about entering a guest's room? 2. Operational Chaos: They failed to call our mobile number regarding checkout. They booked us a 2 PM shuttle but provided NO details on where to board, causing us to miss it and pay for a private taxi. 3. Incompetent Advice: They gave wrong walking times to "Happy Hill" and were "clueless" about holiday crowds. Total lack of local professional knowledge. 4. Extorting Fees: Despite waiting 20+ mins for their own buggy (which caused our delay), they forced us to pay a late checkout fee. They admitted it was their error but refused to refund us—absolutely absurd. 5. TAX FRAUD? Most shockingly, the Rooms Operations Manager tried to deceive us by claiming "Vietnam does not issue VAT invoices to individuals." Only after we confronted them did they admit they were "wrong." 6. Missing Invoice: It has been days, and despite their "promises," the legal VAT invoice (Hóa đơn đỏ) has still not been sent to my email. To the General Manager of Dalat Edensee: I am still waiting for a full refund of the unfair charges and my legal invoice. I have already prepared reports for the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) and the Tax Department.
