- • Having to pay charge for car parking, no lounge so felt like a good B&B rather than a hotel which it looked like from the outside (smaller than it appears)

- • Parking very expensive, when paying it was assumed that you pay 10% tip at the same time. I found it a bit cheeky.

- • The small room compared to the price. Certain details that are not finished (wilted neglected plants in the planters), a wobbly table held up straight with napkins underneath, dust under the bar, neglected details that you do not expect from a 5-star hotel.

- • The suite “overlooking the front garden” is in the basement. It is spacious and well appointed but is not fit for use. It sits underneath the bar and restaurant and every little noise is amplified into the room below. Someone tip-toeing above sounds like a giant's footsteps. This room should not have been let to guests. It needs significant structural improvement to rectify this major deficiency. Not possible to get rest in this room. We raised our concern and were moved to a quiet room the next night. This is a known issue but still they put guests in this very expensive room.
