We loved our stay at Amritara Suryauday Haveli. Beautiful room with a view of the ghats. Nice breakfast and amazing dinner on the rooftop with a special menu. The boat tours were a must during our trip! Thanks to the whole team for this organization!

Superb stay

Absolutely superb from arrival to leaving. Brilliant staff who are only too willing to help. The location is magical and we had a room looking out over the Ganges. Great vegetarian restaurant on site with superb and knowledgeable staff. They offer a free boat ride to the Ganges ceremony in the evening and can arrange a sunrise boat ride as well. After 5 weeks traveling India, this was hands down the best accommodation on all counts.

The property was situated next to Shivalay ghat, away from the hustle, peaceful most importantly the environment created by the staff made our stay feel like home, taking from food to the live music in the evening was outstanding. Room was clean, hygienic and also safe for girls to stay.

It was a very satisfying stay in Varanasi. I was able to spend three intense days that will remain in my life.

All the staff members were very polite. Also, the service of the boat transfer to participate in the evening Puja was very good. I could watch the Puja from the front.

Situated right by the ghats, it offers the rare privilege of stepping out and simply walking along the Ganges. Being able to explore the riverfront directly from the hotel is something truly special. The hotel itself is small, charming, and full of character. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, and thoughtfully maintained. Housekeeping is excellent, and the overall standard of cleanliness is exceptional. What really elevates the experience is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Everything is perfectly organized, and communication – even via WhatsApp – is seamless, fast, and reliable. They also arrange excellent tours, making it easy to explore Varanasi in a meaningful and well-structured way. A special mention goes to the laundry service: fast, efficient, and perfectly handled. Despite being in the heart of such a vibrant city, the atmosphere in the hotel is calm and relaxing, especially at night – a true retreat after the intensity of the ghats. One small tip: during festival times, it is advisable to book a room without direct Ganges view, as celebrations on the river can get quite lively. Overall, this hotel offers a rare combination of charm, professionalism, and location – making it an exceptional place to stay in Varanasi. Highly recommended.
