This was the hotel where I stayed when I first came to China on business in 2006, and whenever I pass through Shenzhen, I make a point of spending at least one night there; I feel at home when I stay at the Shanshui.

- • Noise, the structure both internally/externally to the buildings was such that every door closing, every sound on the opposite corridor was audible. It was f**** noisy. Drunks coming in late at night. My sleep was impaired. I didn't enjoy it.

- • The bathroom is terrible: it doesn't have a real door separating it from the room. So staying with two in that bathroom can be embarrassing.
I am very angry and disappointed with Booking.com why they presented this hotel as a 4-star hotel

- • This was definitely not a 4-star hotel but at most a 2-star hotel. A very worn-out hotel with very bad tiles and mold in the bathroom, old and stained solid carpet, no fridge, no safe box, not any workable wifi, very bad view, they didn't even change the bed linen once during those 4-5 days I stayed in the hotel. Very bad breakfast. I am so very disappointed in Booking.com why they presented this as a 4-star hotel with wifi which is not really a hotel but a hostel in a high-rise building and without any wifi. Times now to book my hotels from other sites and not via booking.com any more.
