Wonderful hotel
Loved everything about this accommodation, the location, the comfort of the room and bed linens, the attention of the staff, the common areas. Definitely an excellent experience staying here.

- • Nothing! Everything perfect
The hotel is an excellent choice for spending a few quiet days near the city center.
The hotel is an old house built in French architecture. It feels like Neuilly-sur-Seine. There is a beautiful garden at the back, also in French style. The interior decoration is superb. The lounge is ideal for reading or simply relaxing. The breakfast is excellent. The staff is super nice and welcoming. In the afternoon, you have unlimited access to coffee or tea as well as biscuits. Finally, the hotel is located in a beautiful quiet area with a very good choice of superb restaurants nearby.

A comfortable hotel but needs a rethink and refresh
La Reve is without doubt the nicest hotel in the area and its high price point reflects this. First impressions from the outside with ivy trailing up the walls are good and the elegant tasteful public spaces inside are both calming and comfortable. Lots of sofas, sideboards with oriental ceramics and the familiar selection of left behind paperbacks and travel books. Our room was very comfortable with a good size shower linens and a good sized TV. It’s a great location near popular tourist sites and affluent housing with lots of good restraints and bars nearby. It feels though as if what the hotel offers has fallen into a manageable routine and could do with a refresh and an update. Breakfast is laid out on small tables in different areas. It’s an unremarkable standard selection of eggs meat cheese and cereal with fruit. Nothing that interesting. Coffee is dependent upon a coffee pod machine which was of poor quality or an urn of coffee which again was fine but not high end. Not I feel good enough for a 4 star hotel. Also the decision to have a public lounge area with several sofas is good, but not heaving used during the day. This however is also where you eat breakfast which is not practical or comfortable. It’s an odd experience. La Reve needs to take inspiration from other boutique hotels in different countries and hopefully move forward with new ideas.

Perfect for those looking for a boutique hotel
The street itself is charming. But the hotel facade is even more so. And the interior equally. A beautiful winter garden and well-decorated spaces, where a nice and intimate breakfast is served.

- • I did not receive enough clarification at check-in to avoid paying in cash Chilean pesos. During the days I was in Santiago, I exchanged money specifically to pay for the stay in this way. And, with that, I paid 19% more for the stay, due to the VAT.
