The W Taipei is a gorgeous hotel with incredible kind staff! Thanks so much to the extraordinary Mr. Stanley Ke, the B&F manager for providing us with an incredible experience at his restaurant. The breakfast is amazing, the staff so fast, everything is smooth and all are super friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!

Another fantastic stay!

Outstanding experience at the best located hotel in the city. It all starts with the important first impression for guests, when you arrive at the front door. Kudos to both Bill and David for their gracious greeting and hospitality. Bill recognized us on our return to the hotel literally a year after our last stay. One morning my family decided to hike up Elephant Mountain for sunrise. Bill coordinated transportation, wrote out instructions for the driver and reviewed them with the driver before we left the hotel. We felt truly cared for. David offered great recommendations, knew our names and always greeted us warmly. These gentleman should be given promotions and pay raises. Fantastic location, steps to great dining, shopping and transit. Wonderful fitness center, pool and dining. Stay here and make the most of your stay in this wonderful city!

Trendy Hotel in the Heart of Taipei

This hotel is super trendy and centrally located. The decor is modern, colorful and vibrant. The bar was a hopping place around midnight when we arrived. The pool is lovely. The beds and amenities were decent. We prefer to stay at Four Seasons (there isn't one in Taipei yet although they are apparently building one), but this hotel was a great value for the money. I believe breakfast is included for everyone (or at least it was for us) so there was a bit of a line at the entrance, which was mildly annoying with children in tow, but the line moved fast and the service was speedy. The food was also. very very good at breakfast. The service both before and during our trip was great. They arranged a tour for us (which was fabulous) and also transportation to and from the airport (which was in an S class mercedes and super reasonably priced). I think this is likely the nicest place to stay in Taipei.

The location is absolutely unbeatable—right next to Taipei 101, surrounded by endless high-end shopping, incredible local and international dining, and vibrant energy day and night. You simply cannot ask for a better place to stay in the city. The hotel itself is stunning, modern, and beautifully designed, with an atmosphere that perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and fun. The food throughout the property is outstanding, consistently impressive, and clearly crafted with care and creativity. A very special thank you to Nicole at the front desk, who did an incredible job and made our stay even more memorable with her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Service like hers truly sets W Taipei apart. This hotel is absolutely incredible, inside and out, and delivers excellence at every level. We will most definitely be back again—W Taipei is our home every time we visit this amazing city.

Location, facilities, and staff are absolutely wonderful!! Breakfast is delicious! Room was beautiful and Taipei 101 view was amazing! I needed assistance with a personal issue and the hotel management team was so professional, flexible, accurate, and supportive!

So glad we chose this hotel, great location and the most comfortable bed, we didn't want to leave!

Nice, modern stay

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the W. We were visiting Taipei for about 5 days and booked the Wonderful room (myself, husband, and 3 year old). As a lifetime Titanium member, we were upgraded to a Wonderful room with a view of Taipei 101. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful when we arrived early, holding onto our belongings until our room was ready (which was faster than we anticipated). The rooms are very modern, as is the lounge/restaurant area. The pool area was spacious and is perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The breakfast spread was superb, with lots of Eastern and Western options - all delicious. We also took advantage of the 2 free drinks in the evening which we appreciated. The location cannot be beat with its proximity to the subway as well as lots of shopping and dining options (and only about a 20 minute walk to Taipei 101). Would absolutely recommend.

Amex FHR booking + Marriott Bonvoy Platinum - NO room upgrade given which is kind of weird for hotel this size and stature. First time experience of such fake courtesy and luxury.

Title: Extremely inflexible and disappointing service — ruined what should have been a great stay

My wife and I stayed at W Taipei for the Johnson Controls Asia Partner Conference (11–14 Nov 2025). Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a very poor check-in encounter and inflexible hotel management. We booked our stay through the official conference link, intending to reserve 1 room for 2 guests. Somehow the system generated 2 rooms for 1 guest instead. We only realized the mistake when we arrived at the hotel. We explained clearly that we only needed one room and requested the cancellation of the extra room immediately — it was never required and never occupied at all during our stay. Despite this, the front desk refused to cancel the unused room and insisted on full payment for the entire 3 nights. Even after senior management from Johnson Controls personally stepped in to clarify the mistake and support us, the hotel still denied any flexibility. It was extremely disappointing to see such a rigid and unfriendly attitude for an obvious booking error that was raised right at check-in. In the end, we were told that part of the unnecessary extra cost had to be absorbed by Johnson Controls just to resolve the situation. This should never have happened. For a hotel under the W brand, I expected better hospitality, fairness, and customer care. Instead, we felt taken advantage of rather than welcomed. A simple and reasonable gesture would have turned the situation around — instead, the response from the hotel left a very negative impression. We will not be choosing W Taipei again, and I hope management will reflect seriously on how guests are treated in similar situations.

Comparing to the US, where I am coming from, the quality of facilities and service is awesome. Great location - 2min from MRT and a walk from 101 all the surrounding attactions

One of the top hotels in Taipei, Taiwan!!!

W Taipei is a great hotel to stay at. It is in the Xinyi District and on top of the Taipei City Hall MRT. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the Taipei City Hall MRT Exit 2, which is also connected to the Taipei City Hall Bus Station and to the Uni-president Department Store Taipei through the first floor of the hotel. The Breeze Xinyi Shopping Mall is right across the street. There are several malls in the area and they are all connected by a 2nd floor skywalk. Taipei 101 is a 10 to 15 minute walk and most of the malls have food courts and/or restaurants. The front desk staff, gym staff, breakfast staff, concierge staff, housekeeping staff and the Woobar staff provide great customer service. Of particular note are the following concierge staff members: Sandy, Daisy, Evelyn, Leo and Tracy. The five mentioned names answered all my wife's and my questions about where to go and not to go in Taipei, the best boba spots, good restaurants, transportation, etc. We talked mostly with Sandy and she was awesome! My wife liked talking with her and Sandy showed genuine concern for us during our hotel stay. Please reward, Sandy, Daisy, Evelyn, Leo, and Tracy with pay raises, cash bonuses and additional vacation days if possible. Other hotel concierge staff across the world should learn from them on how to treat customers well. They are an excellent team and deserve many good things that come their way!

A soulless and stingy hotel.

I was a bit disappointed with the W Taipei. I don’t think it’s on the same level as other W Hotels in Asia or Europe. The front desk staff isn’t particularly warm, is very indifferent. The pool is beautiful, but the water is freezing cold. With Taipei’s hot and humid weather, the one thing you look forward to after a long day out is taking a refreshing swim — but the icy water makes that impossible. The location is good, right in the Xinyi area. The spa, however, is excellent — definitely the hotel’s highlight. What really shocked me was that the hotel charges for basic amenities like a dental kit, comb, razor, and shower cap. A toothbrush and toothpaste cost $3, the comb also $3, the razor $5, and the shower cap another $3. That’s truly shameful. Paying around $500 per night and still being charged for such basic items is absurd. Shame on you, W Taipei! These charges feel petty and cheap, completely out of character for a luxury brand. It’s embarrassing to see a W Hotel nickel-and-diming guests like this, especially when all the other W Hotels around the world provide these amenities for free. It’s definitely not worth what they charge. For the same price, you can stay at much better and more distinctive hotels in Taipei.

Exceptional experience in a beautiful hotel

I was in Taipei for 4 nights for a conference, plus a good amount of sightseeing. From the moment I arrived the staff made me feel welcome. Service from everyone, especially Arielle (sorry if I spelt that wrong) was exceptional. Arielle was especially friendly and welcoming, it felt like they truely cared and wanted to help me make the most out of my stay. The room was stunning and had everything I could have possibly needed. The pool was beautiful and all dining that I experienced was great. Location was ideal, being in the heart of fancy shopping and ease of access to the Taipei Metro to get you all around the city. I can’t wait to come back.

Breakfast - it was a good spread. Room - not sure if it is the design but the wash basin area was way too low . Have to bend down each time to get my toothbrush, cup etc. Also, there was this open shelf located between bed and wash area. This is the sliding door to close for privacy but because the shelves are open, you can see through. We have to use towels to cover to ensure privacy. The toilet is in another section, separated from the shower room which is quite inconvenient. Also, as there is no door to the shower area, water tends to seep out and make the wash area very wet. Location - excellent with the subway station and bus stop nearby.

Best place we have been in Taiwan. Staff could not have been nicer, rooms and especially breakfast was just perfect. Will come again.

Well-designed hotel and food location

Modern and nice hotel with great swimming pool area at the middle of the city. Rooms designed nice but different. Great view if you are on upper floor. Breakfast room is great and choices were nice. Lobby is on the upper floor and you need a guide e for the first time in the hotel. Bar overlooking the pool area and nice touch.

This hotel really outstanding the breakfast and the room super clean and smells always good … the bed very comfortable the staff at the front door very welcome and helpful eveytjme I need taxi they will help me and explain to the driver … the young guy all of them really kind and helpful … stayed here for 6night will definitely be back when visiting Taipei again

Marvelous 2-night stay!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the W Taipei. Due to my Marriott platinum status, we were upgraded from a Spectacular room to a Marvelous Suite, which was the perfect name for our suite because it was in fact marvelous! I had arranged for transportation ahead of time through the hotel and a hotel employee was waiting for us upon our arrival and swiftly brought us to transfer driver and car. The airport is about 40-45 minutes from the hotel, but the drive was comfortable and water was provided. Our arrival was flawless and you can tell the hotel is very efficient as we were immediately brought up to the 10th floor reception area and were brought to our suite to check in as it was already close to 10pm. The woman checking us in took time to explain the on-site amenities and asked if tours/activities needed to be arranged during our stay. We had breakfast included in our stay and we enjoyed the large breakfast buffet. The options ranged from western food (e.g. bacon, waffles/french toast) to Taiwanese specialities. We went to breakfast earlier in the day at around 7am and it was not super crowded at that time. We didn’t have time to enjoy the other on-site amenities, such as the pool and Woobar, but the pool looked gorgeous from our hotel room. Our room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are many light switches for the lights, window blinds, etc, and it did take a few tries to figure which switch controlled which light. However, most of the switches are labeled. The Marvelous suite includes a large living room, wet bar/sitting area, a half bath, the bedroom, and large main bathroom. I even enjoyed the seating area next to the window overlooking the city. There was plenty of space to relax after a busy day in Taipei. We did order room service during our 2nd night as we had had a long day and just wanted to relax. The room service was probably the only disappointing aspect of our stay. The room service attendant was kind and efficient; however, the food wasn’t worth the price. My husband’s chicken was tasty; however, my soup was very bland. All-in-all, W Taipei is definitely the place to stay while visiting Taipei, especially if you have Marriott Bonvoy status as the hotel went above and beyond with honoring my Bonvoy benefits. I would definitely stay here again!

Luxury and comfort next to Taipei 101

Great location! Very clean and spacious room with lots of amenities. Great view looking out onto the city. Nice swimming pool, gym facilities are great with steam sauna and jacuzzi. Breakfast buffet delicious, croissants are best! Staff are absolutely amazing! They were always so kind and prompt replying to my questions and requests. They really try their best to make the guests feel comfortable and worry-free. Thank you for a wonderful time!
