- • The rooms can be odd - this time I got a great room that doesn't have too many random steps or weird stuff but other times I've had rooms that are very strange. Also, the place feels vacant. No vibe...for such a cool place. The pool is cool, but why no bar at the pool?

- • The hotel lacks maintenance, even though it is beautiful, the years are showing, the carpets in the hallways looked dirty, the TVs are not smart TVs.
Never again.

- • I have no idea how this hotel can be a 5-star hotel. The amenities and the room furniture are all very worn. There is not even a hairdryer and iron in the room. You have to call reception and ask for them, and the ones they provide are at least 2 decades old. There is not even a coffee maker - not even an old one. Needless to say, there are no cotton pads or any toiletries that you would expect in a 5-star hotel. The room they put me in was facing a wall - literally. I asked for it to be changed, and the room they showed me was dark like a dungeon, and they did not seem willing to accommodate. I was supposed to stay for 4 nights, but I changed to stay only 1 night and changed the hotel. This is not a 5-star hotel; the 4-star hotel around the corner I booked has much better amenities and rooms for a fraction of the price.
An overrated hotel, very expensive for what it offers. Better management is needed

- • Actually very disappointed with the maintenance of the hotel, it is not what you see in photographs, it is extremely run-down in both public areas and rooms, a shame.
The Colonia Lafayette neighborhood is fantastic and we’ll return to the area, but given what we paid, we’ll likely choose

- • For the price point ($400ish/night), several aspects fell short: We were provided only one complimentary water bottle per day and expected to purchase more. Coffee was not included. Our room had only AC, no heat - staff offered blankets when we mentioned being cold. The rooftop area looked lovely but was rarely open during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy sunset views with wine served as hoped. Front desk staff were polite but seemed disinterested in providing local recommendations for coffee shops and running routes. The hotel felt quite empty during our stay.
Shocking, Unhygienic, and Deeply Unprofessional - avoid at all cost
This hotel is an absolute disgrace. Charging around USD 700 per night for conditions like this is insulting and frankly outrageous. The staff are completely incompetent and uninterested. No professionalism, no sense of responsibility, and no attempt to resolve issues. Requests are ignored, and basic standards of service simply do not exist here. The room itself was dirty and poorly maintained. The building is visibly falling apart — broken details everywhere, including damaged windows, which is completely unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one pretending to be luxury. The terrace was filthy and disgusting, clearly not cleaned or cared for in a long time. The shower flooding and intermittent hot water make a few things. To make matters worse, by 5:00 PM our room still had not been made up. At this price point, that is beyond unacceptable. This is basic hotel operation, not a special request. What truly alarmed us, however, was seeing three cleaners hanging out inside our neighbor’s room, behaving in a very dodgy and unprofessional manner. After witnessing this, we no longer felt comfortable allowing housekeeping into our room and canceled the cleaning altogether. That says everything about the level of trust — or lack thereof — this hotel inspires. Let’s not forget that you hear everything your neighbor does - TV watching, going to the bathroom, opening curtains and more. The entire place feels neglected, mismanaged, and unhygienic. Nothing about this experience aligns with what is advertised or what is being charged. We were so uncomfortable and disappointed that we left early. I travel frequently and stay in high-end hotels around the world — this is easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs. This hotel is massively overpriced, poorly run, and nowhere near the standard it claims to offer. Diego the manager could not care less. We stayed in the master suite on the 5th floor - 502.

It was wonderful and awesome. The staff and manager are great!
