Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Tianhe

Where Hotel = Mall literally..

Stayed at the Tianhe Marriott for 5 nights ( 4 nights + 1 night extension). The room was spacious with a pleasant city view. The location is great — directly next to Grandview Mall, which offers lots of shopping, dining options, and 7 themed sightseeing attractions inside, though I’d warn to set expectation a bit lower than Chimelong if you’re looking for major entertainment. Tianhe district and especially this hotel, may have heavy traffic congestion at night / afternoon - to or from hotel. Using the metro is recommended whenever your destinations are accessible by train. Pro tip: if u travel by Didi u can ask the car to stop in Mall of the World and use APM line - 1 stop then arrive at nearby mall to wall to hotel. Breakfast looked standard but tasted surprisingly good. Overall, it was a nice stay and the hotel is well-positioned for convenience. One minor ick: I’ve been a Marriott Bonvoy member for 5 years (previously Silver Elite, now regular member status). I buy 4 nights with breakfast and I extend 1 night without one. On the extra night without breakfast, there was no courtesy breakfast or any small club lounge access offered as a gesture. Since I booked via a third-party platform, it seems my loyalty was completely overlooked (Bonvoy Member, 5 years of previous Silver Elite). A little gesture would have been appreciated. Would still recommend the hotel for its location and comfortable rooms, but the lack of member recognition was disappointing.

Always perfect every stay in terms of service, convenience, and great value for money.

Location is perfect, next to many shopping malls and opposite the sport stadium. During my stay, there is a concert at the stadium, and the front desk officer specially given me a top floor room where I can see the stadium and the big concert screen from my room.

Great location, wonderful staff, delightful Man Ho Chinese restaurant

Marriott Guangzhou Tianhe has such a great location, very close to the GuangzhouDong train station plus right next to 2 big malls. The staff is very proactive, caring and have great level of english for those who dont speak chinese. The rooms are very spacious, bathroom with both bathtub and shower plate, the bed mattress were perfect providing excellent sleep quality. As well the Man Ho Chinese restaurant was delightful, very tasty traditional plates and the staff were nice and professional.
