It’s easy to see a well managed hotel, the staff are friendly and the management anticipates the little things that makes your stay that much better. Sadly I don’t think this is one! The staff here don’t greet the guest, whether you enter an elevator with staff in the elevator or the ground floor breakfast restaurant they seem not to respond to a simple good morning. The room I had was very nice however the toilet closet had yellow stains along all the white caulking.. it’s not what I expect from a 5 stay hotel! The hand held shower wand was installed incorrectly so you could not move the wand holder past 5 foot 10 inches, yet there was 6 more inches if it had been installed correctly to slide the holder up but it was blocked by the bracket holding the pole! The seating for guest who requires a seat while waiting for a taxi or grab is conveniently located by the elevators and there is no way to see the entrance of the hotel. It just makes no sense! The breakfast restaurant on the ground floor has less than 6 sets of salt and pepper shakers… again I am being generous I believe there are only 4 for the entire restaurant.. again management is just not wearing the customer hat! I did stay at the Sheraton Grand, the staff were excellent! Location not as good so you might consider the W hotel that has similar location as the Le Meridian.

I was shocked to find a cigarette butt on the floor upon entering my room, despite the hotel’s non-smoking policy. Additionally, there was human hair on the pillow and in the bathroom. This level of so-called "cleanliness" is unacceptable and well below the standard expected of a five-star hotel.

New go-to hotel

I had a great experience! In previous trips to Taipei, I used to stay at different hotels. However, this has become my new favorite. It's in a great location, has excellent staff, and the rooms are decent. I want to shout-out particular staff members who were incredibly welcoming: Wilson and Kent who work at the concierge were really helpful. Vicky from housekeeping always goes above and beyond to fulfill my requests. Everyone I'm talked to from front desk has treated me really well. The people who work at the lounge have impeccable service. In particular, Saya, is really friendly.

it's really just ok. I am kind of disappointed with the stay.

Don’t Skip Breakfast Buffet

I loved our stay at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to the shopping centers and Taipei 101. The service was awesome. The room is big. The bed is comfortable. Make sure to include breakfast with room reservation, you won’t be disappointed.

If You Are Marriott Platinum or Higher between Le Méridien and W Hotel, I recommend Le Méridien for the following reasons: Room Quality: ★★★★★ 1. Even though I stayed in a standard room, it felt surprisingly well-designed with great attention to detail. (Rooms at the end of the hallway have Bose speakers on the ceiling, allowing for a rich sound experience all night. The room was very clean, with no damp smell, and I was welcomed by a refreshing 18°C breeze upon entering.) 2. Suites are mostly city-view, not Taipei 101-view, but they are well-maintained. Considering the generally small hotel rooms in Taipei, it was a satisfying experience. Staff Friendliness: ★★★★★ 1. I was impressed that the staff greeted me in Korean. When I asked about nearby tourist spots, they provided enthusiastic and helpful recommendations. The bell staff handled luggage faster and with a friendlier attitude compared to other hotels. I even found the staff’s warm welcome superior to W Hotel. Marriott Elite Benefits: ★★★★ 1. They make a sincere effort to upgrade your room. (As a Titanium member, I was upgraded to a suite once and to a Taipei 101-view standard room another time—though this was during a weekday stay.) 2. While the late checkout time may be slightly earlier than 4 PM, they compensate with extra points, which made me feel valued as a loyal guest. Hotel View: ★★★★★ 1. Even if you don’t get a Taipei 101 view, don’t be disappointed. The city view offers a luxurious skyline featuring high-end apartments and bank headquarters. 2. Due to the hotel’s height limitation (max 11 floors), the Taipei 101 view is seen from an angle. However, by adjusting the chair position, you can still enjoy a stunning view, as I did while working on my laptop all night. It was an unforgettable experience. Hotel Surroundings: ★★★★★ 1. Din Tai Fung is just 30 seconds on foot (right in the building across). 2. While there’s no direct connection to the Sky Bridge, all shopping malls surrounding Taipei 101 are easily accessible from Le Méridien. 3. The hotel is located in an upscale residential area. Take a walk in the park in front of the hotel—you’ll feel the elegant atmosphere of luxury apartment residents blending seamlessly into the hotel’s surroundings. Lounge: ★★★ 1. Compared to W Hotel, which doesn’t have a lounge at all, Le Méridien having one is already a plus. However, the food selection and quality aren’t sufficient for a proper dinner. 2. Replenishment of food items, such as fruits, isn’t done frequently even when supplies run low. 3. Staff service in the lounge is average, without any extra attentiveness. 4. There isn’t much of a view from the lounge, but the happy hour is still a perk worth using. Breakfast: ★★★★★ 1. Breakfast is excellent, offering fresh ingredients and a great variety of fruits. The attention to detail is evident. 2. The fruit section is always well-stocked. I particularly loved being able to fill my plate with plenty of watermelon. Facilities: ★★★★★ 1. Some standard rooms do not have bathtubs (mine didn’t). However, the sauna on the 2nd floor is well-maintained and very clean. I found it so convenient that I used it multiple times a day, making up for the lack of a bathtub. 2. The gym is well-equipped, and you can run on the treadmill while enjoying a view of a luxury department store. Overall, Le Méridien provides a highly satisfying stay, particularly for Marriott elite members, with top-tier service, a prime location, and a luxurious atmosphere connecting seamlessly to Taipei 101 and the best shopping areas.

Very good HOTEL

Hotel location was very ideal for shopping to nearby high end malls. Hotel was clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. Amenities like the spa room was huge and nice....enjoyed our time there.

This is the first time that I had stayed in Taipei in a longer period of time! And I am impressed by the Conceige staffs very quickly to attend my luggage packing needs! Really, very impressed that they have prepared the packing tapes and ropes in the counter of Conceige, ready for the hotel guests if they need👍👍

This hotel is well located near major company offices for business travelers and near shopping as well. The rooms are comfortable, clean and large.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Le Meridien this trip. The indoor pool, the gym and the spa facilities are fantastic. Housekeeping staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, guests receive quality services. Don't miss out all the art pieces and sculptures displayed throughout the hotel.

Most ridiculous experience !

Extremely disappointed by the Le Meridien Taipei. I feel bad for the team at this hotel who work very hard but are following some absurd practices and guidance from there leaders. Two incidents happened today that to me are just not acceptable: 1. Check in time is 3pm. I arrive just after 3pm and get told the room is not ready because the previous guest has not left yet and that I had to wait. Insane. How that is possible I have no idea - clearly shows that management of schedule at the hotel is extremely loose. 2. I call room service for an ice bucket to put a bottle of wine in. They told me they would need to charge me NT600 as a “rental fee”!!!! We are paying premium premium room rates in the centre of Taipei at one of the top hotels in town.. seriously a joke! Honestly do not recommend this hotel - they don’t treat their guests as top priority.

Pros. This Hotel has an excellent location with access to all the major shopping outlets. It is within walking distance to 101 the largest building in Taiwan and a major tourist attraction. Great Breakfast Buffett. Cons. We paid extra to be on the executive Club floor, as a majority of Marriot Bonvoy Hotels have excellent breakfast, afternoon tea, and great Happy with a variety of dishes from which to choose. This club had no breakfast but you can go down to the first Floor which is not convenient when you pay extra. The evening happy hour was a total disappointment since they had very limited options. The rooms were small and over priced it is the location you are paying for not the hotel., I did speak with the Rooms director who also oversees the Club Lounge and expressed my views, She was very polite and understood as she did mentioned that she has been to other Bonvoy Properties and understands my concerns regarding the lounge. The Rooms Director extended a complementary buffet to our family, However I explained we don't mind paying extra but we should receive what we paid for at the club level and that did not happen. We would not return to this hotel unless it made some drastic changes to the executive floor club lounge as there are many other hotels in the area that would accommodate.

Booked the corner suite with Taipei 101 view but kinda regretted it. Not worth the price. Room rate NTD21000 but you can’t see Taipei 101 in a comfortable way. You have to position yourself at a corner the window and glance sideways to view. Also there are more n more tall skyscrapers around Taipei 101. So there is no more majestic feel of the 101. It’s looks just like any other normal building. Room is spacious and the toilet layout is excellent. It looks clean but the next day morning, I saw a cockroach running across my pillow. I didn’t feedback as it is my checkout day and knowing the standard of hospitality industry in the country. I felt that the feedback would be useless. The previous night at the executive lounge, I found a green nylon string I presume, in the soup that they are serving buffet style. I feedback to the staff, she just replied me okay she will check. And they just continuing refilling the buffet pot of soup on the counter, acting like nothing is wrong. Check in and concierge staff were great. Cheerful and they arranged for transport quite efficiently. Location is also another selling point. It’s right in the middle of the shopping district.

Overall an enjoyable stay. Will come again

Hotelli 101:sen ja isojen kauppakeskusten vieressä. Muut nähtävyydet sitten 1/2 h taksimatkan päässä. Hop On Hop Off:kin lähtee juna-asemalta, jonne 20 min. ensin taksilla. Siisti hiljainen hotelli, hyvä buffa illallisaikaan, ei viinejä, vain mehuja, vettä ja olutautomaatti. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Ihan ok gym ja uima-allas.

Lovely, clean, modern hotel with excellent facilities and super friendly, helpful staff which made my stay one to remember. Very easy to get around the city either via the nearby MRT or on foot. Definitely worth considering if you are visiting Taipei.

I stayed at Le Meridien most of the time when I visited my family. This time, I came with my husband and daughter. I don't need to write about the cleanliness and convenience as it has been written enough here. The reason I'm writing this review is that I have higher appreciation of this hotel this past visit in February. My daughter's boyfriend had an accident and hurt his knee at one of the karaoke we went to. On our way back to our room, the manager saw that he was limping and we're trying to carry him, she came to us and ask if we need a wheelchair. I didn't even thought about it. Their service didn't stop here. They told us that we can see the house nurse the following morning which we did. We were suggested to go to the emergency room to get an X-ray which we did. The hotel sent one of their staff to go with us so that she can helped us with the work around in the emergency room here in Taipei. Oh, and the house nurse called the bell captain and requested to get a cab with a seat configuration that will be easy for my daughter's BF to get into. Speaking of DETAILS! Wow!!! This is what I can imagine as SERVICE THAT'S ABOVE AND BEYOND. Thank you so so very much, Le Meridien staff and management!!!
