Absolute spoil, we’ll definitely be back.
The first thing you see when entering is how beautifully decorated the hotel is. The bedrooms did not disappoint, everything is so carefully designed. The staff were incredible and friendly. We loved the turn down service, each night we had hot water bottles, hot chocolate and a pudding waiting for us.

Luxurious with a personal, welcoming touch.
Staying at The Last Word Constantia was a wonderfully luxurious experience for us. The hotel is situated just outside the town centre so not too busy. When they showed us the ‘room’ we thought there was a mistake because that was not exactly a room, more a spacious apartment with a sitting room, king size bed and the most beautiful shower and bathroom we have ever seen in a hotel room! A fully stocked fridge with soft drinks, water and milk, complimentary bottles of wine and even free gin and tonic was available. The hotel doesn’t offer dinner so we went out to eat at the restaurant next door, Peddlars, which was pretty good. After we returned from dinner, our room was softly lit, heated, there were hot water bottles in bed, we found two creme brulees for us… amazing level of service! The staff and management are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in a beautiful area and must be the best breakfast we had on our whole trip. The only ‘downside’ to it, it was pretty cold in the morning, despite the roaring fire. This isn’t a criticism per se because that’s South African winter for ya: cold nights and balmy days. The Last Word Constantia was for us the best hotel experience we ever had. We normally don’t stay in really upmarket accommodations but this was next level for us. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying here!

Stunning oasis in the middle of Constantia
Exceptional - the location was perfect for what we needed - there were also several beautiful walks that could be accessed from the property, plus the handy restaurant for a quick meal next door. The hotel itself was so attentive to your needs and the fine details made for an amazing stay - turn down included hot water bottles and a dessert, just lovely! The breakfasts were incredible too, a lot of food but very high quality. The staff were fabulous, going above and beyond to help

- • Not much comes to mind! One of the managers (?) though was very loud and wasn’t very aware of it (shouting/arguing with staff so that guests could hear) but maybe it was a bad day. It didn’t impact the stay

What a wonderful hotel a beautiful property with stunning rooms and truly exceptional service throughout our stay. The small touches are what really make this place stand out, from the honesty bar and delicious bake of the day to the amazing turndown service each evening. Everything was thoughtfully done and made us feel completely looked after. Breakfast was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful every morning. The staff were absolutely amazing warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. We honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough and would happily return again.
