Peaceful lodge at great location
Great location. Even though it's close to Franschhoek it is still providing a calm and peaceful stay. The pool is a great feature. The rooms were larger than expected and could easily accommodate the extra bed and cot for our kids. Perfect spot if you're planning on doing the wine tram.

Spacious cottage with minor flaws but very good price
Friendly reception and uncomplicated key handover, both on arrival and departure. Spacious rooms with the possibility to sit outside and use the existing swimming pool. As a guest gift, there was a bottle of quite good wine made from the farm's own grapes. We could easily park our car in a shaded parking lot on the enclosed property.

- • The last renovation of the cottage was quite a while ago. The furniture was quite worn out and the chair legs were so loose that you couldn't sit on them without the risk of them possibly breaking. The sink drain in the bathroom was almost blocked and drained very slowly. The location of the cottage is about a 15-minute walk from the center of Franschhoek.

- • The property requires some maintenance. The fridge was dirty, and there was a fair amount of dirt and dust around - the outside area requires a proper clean. We found that area particularly disappointing.
Lovely stay, perfect for a quick in and out for a work trip.
Beautiful views overlooking the vineyard. Very friendly staff. Two-room cottage clean and adequate.

- • No aircon and fans not in good working order. It was sweltering hot so aircon would have been good.
Nice apartment, top!
Great accommodation, very spacious and good beds. There is a complete kitchen, you are fully equipped. Neatly cared for, and even a bottle of their own wine as a welcome gift, very nice! There is a small shared pool with sun loungers. The location in relation to the Franschhoek wine tram is great, you can walk there in 10 minutes and also to the center.

Pleasant quick stay over!
We had a lovely one night stay in La Galiniere. The actual property is beautiful and cottages were spacious. The complementary bottle of wine in the cottages was a nice touch (and tasted good too!). The location is pretty central in Franschhoek and walking distance to the wine tram.

- • The cottages are a little outdated inside but does not make or break the stay.
Absolute value for money. The most relaxing stay with the friendliest staff ever.
The host went out of her way to accommodate our request to access the premises earlier. We could use the swimming pool and braai area while getting the cottage ready for us.
