Good times at Papaya Playa
We had a great time at Papaya Playa. Our hosts were so nice and helpful. The property is beautiful, it was the beginning of the off-season for us, not too many people around but we had a great time riding the ATVs through town, visiting the cenotes. Shout out to Ricky, Jose, Miguel, Sabaro to name just a few. There were plenty more we didn’t get names for. Ricky had a really cool welcome ceremony when we arrived and was really impressed by the amount of time Ricky spent helping us. Thank you for helping us learn some more Spanish! Breakfast was very, very good, fresh fruit and the espresso is the best! Dinner was also very good!

If you want to know what Tulum feels like when it’s done right, stay at Papaya Playa Project. It’s not a hotel. Rooms are spotless, issues get handled fast, and the personal touches are real. 4. *The Details*: Food is delicious with great coffee, rooftop pools are a game-changer, and the sustainability focus is genuine. It’s part of Marriott’s Design Hotels, so you can use points, but it feels nothing like a chain *Special thanks to Ricky* – you were the difference between a great stay and an unforgettable one. From handling every request with a smile to making sure our experience felt personal and seamless, you embodied what makes PPP hospitality exceptional. Thank you for going above and beyond. *Honest notes*: It’s pricey, seaweed season can impact beach use, and mosquitoes are real in the off-season. Bikes and some activities are extra. But with a private pool and the right expectations, none of that matters. *Verdict*: If you want the iconic Tulum experience – jungle, beach, design, wellness, and service that makes you feel looked after – this is it. We came for a couple of days and booked to stay longer. If I could give this place a 20/10 Can’t recommend it enough. We’ll be back

Had the best time here! The experience was fantastic, and our waiter, Gerardo, made it even better with his friendliness, attentiveness, and constant smile. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend—10/10!

Great time here - especially the service
Absolutely loved the beach club. The food and cocktails were amazing! The music created a great atmosphere. Especially our waiter Gerardo was very attentive and helpful. He was always smiling and offered great service! Very content.

Beautiful property on the beach
The grounds are really beautiful and the staff is incredibly kind. Primo at reception is awesome. He directed us to the best cenotes in Tulum. Breakfast is absolutely delicious. And I loved our rooftop pool.
