- • The equipment is a bit old for a 5-star hotel, it would also be nice to have a kettle, mini fridge, and iron in the room. Bathroom amenities do not include a toothbrush and comb. Also, if there are not enough guests in the hotel, breakfast is served as a limited menu with modest portions; the buffet is served only if there are enough guests.
A warm welcome to a beautiful historic building with excellent service and some nice touches
I received a very warm welcome to this truly beautiful historic building with wonderful gardens. My room was very comfortable with everything I needed, it was quiet, and I had a great night’s sleep. The addition of mouthwash to the complimentary toiletries was pleasantly unusual but very welcome. The preparation of my room in the evening included hot water bottles placed under the sheet at the foot of the bed, which was a lovely touch. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of quality food, including the option of cream with the fruit and a very tasty crème brûlée cake. I would undoubtedly stay here again, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

- • The bad smell that was present at night when the pool stopped working and also that they completely turn off the lighting, it is very dark especially in the part where the garden is located

- • The standard double room we had on the ground floor of the main building is unacceptable to be used as a room: the windows face a courtyard where people sit to talk and have coffee, or to have a photo shoot, as happened to us, with the photographer and his assistants sitting next to our window early in the morning. All the noises from the stairs and the first floor reached the room. The hotel and the staff are excellent, but rooms like ours should not be used, it is unacceptable.
