The view is great, but there are a million places that would give the same view and better service.
This is a spacious villa to stay in with a great layout. There is a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom, so you don’t feel like you’re in a tiny room the whole time. The bed is king-sized and comfortable. The bathroom has heated floors, a heated towel rack, and a heater to keep you warm while showering in the very cold winter. There is also a convenient washer and dryer which work well and allow you to wash your clothes during your stay. The view is also phenomenal.

- • This is a self-service accommodation. You’re sent a message ahead of time telling you where to park, which villa you’re staying in, and how to locate the key. There are no reception staff on-site for assistance, only a number to call for help. There is no daily cleaning service, not even a mid-stay clean (we stayed 9 nights). We had to go down 4 flights of stairs from our car to our room with all of our luggage, with no lifts, not even a bag-only lift available. You cannot call a hotel 5-star when this is what you get. 5-star is luxury, it’s service. There was none of this. The TVs don’t allow streaming services/didn’t work during our stay. The bath/shower combo also has really low pressure and is quite narrow. You have to choose between water on the front or the back of your body, and then rotate. If you’re looking for a spacious place with a great view and average appliances, this is a great option. If you’re looking for luxury and service, go elsewhere. When we booked we were advised that the fireplaces were not working and needed replacing. That’s okay, these things happen, but the replacement heater was an oil heater. If you’re familiar with these, you need to stand right next to it to get any warmth. The place was freezing as we were there in winter, and it was quite uncomfortable. Better heater options were available at local shops for $50-$80, so this just felt lazy and like they didn’t care about customer comfort. One side of our electric blanket on the bed was also broken. Again, this happens, but it is something that should be tested as part of the pre-check-in prep. Lastly, on the day we were checking out, construction started outside our room. Not outside the hotel, directly outside our room. We had until 10 am to check out, but construction started at 7:30 am, making our final morning quite unpleasant.
A beautiful, comfortable stay with amazing views in a fantastic location, we’d definitely stay again.
The apartment was clean and cosy. The views were absolutely stunning and the location was perfect close enough to Queenstown main town while still being peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was well-equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

- • There wasn’t much to dislike. The only minor downside was that the water pressure was very low for us and the pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Would also have been good to have a cleaner during our 2-week stay
