Loved the rooms and location. Staff were amazing. Very attentive and great recommendations from our waitress. They went above and beyond to make my birthday special!

- • The parking situation and getting to the rooms was not very good. No signage for room numbers when you drive your car along the most narrow 'road' that should simply be a one-way road as there are no turnaround possibilities! Carrying bags and belongings from the car to the room can then take up to 7 minutes if you're not lucky to find a car park nearby. Especially no fun if you're alone at night or in the rain! All a very strange setup for a rather large resort.
Relaxing stay at Crystalbrook Byron Bay.
Really enjoyed our apartment being set in the rainforest. The glass doors were very effective at blocking out any external noise. Amenities in the unit were excellent with a comfortable bed, excellent pillows, effective heating, and a self-contained kitchenette including a mini-bar. Really loved the boardwalk to the Tallow Creek area - the sunset was beautiful. This was recommended by a staff member and we did it twice. Enjoyed drinks at the bar and delicious dinner in the restaurant, with good options for vegetarians. Grateful for restaurant heaters, which were effective. Restaurant and bar staff were excellent and very attentive. The location of the property suited us as it was convenient to both Byron (especially the Lighthouse end), Suffolk Park, and Broken Head Nature Reserve.

- • Boardwalks were under repair - we had to go the long way round but we understand the need for maintenance. The work was being done away from our apartment, so we were very grateful that our request for a quiet room was met. We were a little confused about where our apartment was initially and we weren't aware of the distance from where we had to park the car to our apartment. Being able-bodied, we were happy to carry our suitcases. When we checked in, staff did offer to help us with our luggage (using a golf buggy) and after our experience, we would take this up next time. It would have saved us trying to find our apartment and also reduce the number of times we carried our things from the car to the apartment. It was also very difficult to turn right onto the main road at busy times of the day (5 pm). Worth noting if you are heading into Byron for dinner.
