Don’t judge this hotel by the area - much nicer hotel than area initially indicates
Really good value modern hotel with some nice design features. Small lobby bar doubles as the check-in and a nice area to relax on its mezzanine floor which doubles as a breakfast room. There are two convenience stores right next door and they have no problem with you bringing in your own food. It is very much B&B and does it well, really clean and functional. Location is within an eight-minute walk to Birmingham’s canals (which have pubs, restaurants, and tours) and the same distance to the railway station, the main shopping centre, and The Bullring.

- • The location looks very rough and run-down and seems to be a bit industrial and scary initially. But it’s actually deceptive, you’re quickly at shops and canals within an 8-minute walk. If I was a single female traveler, I’m not sure I’d walk in this area unaccompanied but for anyone else, it’s fine.
