On the search for white sands without an airplane flight, but only found peace and quiet.
I wasn't sure what to expect, we drove from Legazpi to Misibis Bay in a car. The beach and waters was not exactly as advertised but better than anything in Bicol that I have seen. Your not going to see a Boracay, Coron, or Palawan beach here...just FYI... but it's nicer than in Legazpi area... This is for sure a resort, that tries to super lux your experience and slow your pace way down but just seems like another place that was secluded and out of the way. The drive there was interesting, several KMs of winding roads and things to see. I would not recommend to stay more than 2 days here as there is nothing else going on at this restore but rest, peace, and recharge. You won't find a 7-11 or a band or any malls nearby for sure, so just keep that in mind and make sure that's what you are looking for, only a Sari-Sari store down the road. The breakfast buffet was good the two days we stayed there. The staff was amazingly nice. All the people there are so respectful.

- • The one thing that was annoying, is I am one of those people who does not like to charge stuff to my room. I would like to pay for that as I go, if I am going to get a drink or forced to eat at their restaurant, I wanna by my bill as I go, however they do not accept any CARDS, unless you charge it to your room which later, I found out you can pay by card at the end, they email you a payment link, and then you can pay via card, but if you have the mind set like me where you want to pay as you go, bring plenty of cash because everything is triple price there and cash with service fee is charge. Why does a high end place like this not accept card payment?
I found it a fantastic stay, really lovely for a few days.
Delightfully relaxed, super friendly staff, they do everything for you, even before you think of it yourself, only what I see are 80% interns.

- • What I didn't like is the service charge of 10% on all food and drinks etc, and everything is done by interns (internship) and they get nothing, really 0.00, they are a bit dependent on the tips you give them. You give them because they are all super friendly and really need it. They don't even get food or anything, I find that poignant and I can't stand it. What I also found disappointing was the buffet dinner, way too much typical Filipino greasy food, the a la carte (depending on what you order) was really good.

- • The location is very isolated. It takes 60 to 90 minutes to drive from Legazpi/the Bicol airport. If you are only here for relaxing on the resort, that is fine. If you want to do activities in the area, this might not be practical.

The room seems like it was not ready when we got in our room. There were no bath towels, and no other toiletries set up. I just booked a standard room and it should have included robes, slippers, and hair dryer. None of these were available upon check in. I waited for more than 40 minutes after I requested the towels and had to do a follow-up phone call because I’d really wanted to take a shower. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet isn’t the best either. The facility is gorgeous. We also own a property at the Misibis resort and wanted to visit our property. At first they said the person that holds the map isn’t available. Until I was very vocal with my disappointment, and miraculously, they found someone that took us to see our property. Another complaint is that, they told us there is no wifi where our room was. They gave us a ridiculous/ stupid reason This is the 5th accommodation I have been for the last 3 weeks of my vacation and all of them had wifi. Even restaurants in the area offered free wifi and this high end resort did not.
