Fantastic holiday at a very clean, quiet and friendly hotel.
Secure (passkey entry and exit through reception) area and room was spacious, clean and very quiet. We slept well and were not disturbed during the night which is rare at hotels these days. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great - close to attractions in the French quarter and close walk to Mississippi and rampart for trolleys.

- • No where to put bathroom items. A shelf would have been helpful. Lighting not great in the room or bathroom.

- • It is almost impossible not to hear street sounds but this is a French Quarter issue, not the hotel's.

Overall, we loved our stay at The Chateau Hotel for the comfort, location, and personable staff.
Miss Elaine and the lady that worked the shift right after her were both so personable and warm that it was a pleasure talking to them. We need more people like them in the hospitality sector! The Chateau Hotel has a great location and is a great value.

- • The sun hitting our room was pretty intense. Perhaps some sort of awning over the balcony area would make it more accessible by providing some shade?
