- • They have old style TVs that are difficult to connect to standard streaming apps, relying on a dodgy WiFi. I think it’s time to upgrade and it made me feel like I was going back in time. WiFi and a true smart TV are the standard these days, which is why Airbnb wins against hotels. The room service menu was also very basic

Excellent visit for our first leisure trip to Belfast.
Facilities and concierge support were excellent. Breakfast was enjoyable. Excellent location in the center of Belfast and access to bus services.

Disappointing stay for a 5-star hotel
I was really disappointed with my recent stay, especially given this is marketed as a 5-star hotel. The property feels dated and in need of refurbishment. The most serious issue was that there was no hot water across the entire hotel one morning, resulting in cold showers for all guests. There was no apology, explanation, or acknowledgement from staff, which was very poor service for this level of hotel. On my floor (2nd floor), there were cleaners’ trolleys/buggies left lined up outside my room for the entire stay, which made the corridor feel cluttered and unprofessional. The hotel is also very noisy at night — the doors are extremely heavy and slam loudly even when guests are trying to be considerate, making it difficult to sleep. The road sounds from the lower floors are terrible. The bathroom design was impractical, with a poor layout and awkward access to essentials like toilet paper and the bin. There were also no proper bathroom worktops, making it difficult to place toiletries. Breakfast was underwhelming — fairly basic and bland, with slow service and poor-quality coffee. On the positive side, the location is excellent and very central, which is the one real advantage of the hotel. Overall, I’m not sure how this property maintains a 5-star rating. It falls short in several key areas and does not reflect the standard expected at this level.

Delightful, a gem.
The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally situated, the rooms have just about everything including a candle and matches for bath times! Delightful.
