To be forgotten

I was in this Hotel for 6 days. An experience to be forgotten! No air conditions and it was almost 40 °C degree only a weak fan in the room called “air conditioning”. I choose a Hotel with the restaurant, all the dinners were already paid but it was a nightmare. No possibility to chose anything, the meal was already decided. in a Cantine is better. I informed them that I don’t eat onion and garlic and I was served with garlic smashed potatos and onions and sausage which I had refused the day before. I think in Gail people are treated better.No napkins, no bread…Never more

OK hotel but not great services

On a good note, the hotel is conveniently located in the city center. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The major downsides are that a) faces a very busy road; b) terrible WiFi connection; c) inconsistent quality of breakfast: in my case it was excellent on the weekend, almost non-existent on Monday, and mediocre Tuesday. Overall, the price was too high for the quality provided. There are better hotels in Sofia downtown. Do not recommend this one

OK, if you just wanna spend 1 or 2 nights it's fine. Reminds me of the 80's hotels that we see in the movies. Definitely not a 4* but a 3*. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom needs renovation and the room needs noise isolation (I could hear the next-door couple shouting) Not really impressed!

Old world comfort- great breakfast

Old world elegance with decor. Room and bathroom fine, though Staybridge request walk-in shower (if they have). Breakfast was very good. A bit of a walk to attractions (cathedral mosque, etc) but liked a couple of local restaurants- more authentic.

One of the worst hotels I stayed in. The first day I arrived at 19:45 and there was a man at the reception who didn't speak English, a sign on the desk said that the reception was opened until 20:00 but probably they left. The room was ok but the TV wasn't working and the AC was noisy and in the toilet, water suddenly ran. The windows didn't have thick curtains so the neighbors could see you. So I spent the first night in the dark and with no TV, Next day, and after my complaints to Expedia, they changed my room and they gave me a suite (as they said). On the third day, I noticed that the maid didn't clean my room but I didn't say anything so as not to offend her. But on the fourth day they didn't clean my room so I had neither clean towels nor soap or shampoo. I asked the reception why this and another man (who also didn't speak English well) told me that when you stay more than 3 days they don't clean the room every day. In Expedia by the way it is written that they have daily housekeeping. After my complaint they cleaned my room but again they didn't put any soap so I had to use one small bottle for 3 days!!! in my room there were ants. Also they say that they have a restaurant until 24:00 but their restaurant after breakfast was closed. As far as safety, it was quite a strange situation because there was a man (supposed to be security) sitting outside the hotel smoking or drinking and anyone could easily get into the hotel. If it was a MOTEL it could be ok BUT A 4 STAR HOTEL? NO WAY!!!!!!!!
