Decent value for money but only moderately clean and cleaning was very inconsistent - one day bed would be made, another day the bins would be emptied, vacuum cleaning was apparently self-service with the machine living in the hallway. It's great to have a kitchenette, but there were no basics (I would assume previous guests would have left oil, salt, etc). Room was a bit run down with LOTS of spots in the carpet. Sheets were too small for the bed so they kept coming loose.

I love having a kitchenette but next to a very limited (just about adequate) supply of pots and pans and utensils there were no basics (oil, salt, pepper; whatever others leave behind should stay in the room). The room was very gloomy and the carpet was full of spots. Cleaning was very inconsistent and I had to do vacuuming myself??? Vacuum cleaner was in the hallway. One day The bed was made, another day it wasn't. Sometimes I got fresh towels every day (nonsense and bad for the environment), then nothing for 3 days. The bedsheet on the mattress is too smal, meaning it keeps coming loose. Still good value for money though.

중산구 번화가에 위치해서 여기저기 다니기 정말 편하고 좋았습니다. 가구나 시설등은 노후되었으나 관리가 잘 된 편이었고, 직원도 24시간 프론트 상주하여 편했습니다. 또한 요청사항에도 친절하게 응대해주어 만족스러운 서비스를 받았습니다. 다음에 또 대련에 방문하게 되면 묵고싶은 숙소였습니다.

理由は尋ねませんでしたけど、デポジットの支払いにマスターカード使えず、ビザで支払いせよとのこと… アリペイで支払えたので問題はありませんでしたが、一瞬あせりました。

まずホテル内が暗くてつぶれているのかと思った。 部屋も設備も古く、エアコンも効きませんでした。もう利用しないと思います。

An out-dated waste of money

Positives - they have apartment suites, which is good for a family. Shower had a mode that was powerful enough for me. There is a big fridge - its filthy, but it exists. Decent location next to better hotels across the street. Negatives - Everything is old and in desperate need of renovation. Everything is also filthy. The room stank of cigarettes. Beds were very hard. Sofa was falling apart and uncomfortable. Carpets had holes in it. The hotel is generally very dark, even the lobby. Its kind of difficult to actually find, because you need to go round the back of the building and then to floor 17 for the lobby. Gym is small and the yoga room advertised in amenities doesnt exist. Staff there said the equipment had been stolen. Gym also stank of cigarettes. and now to the worst part, Breakfast. In all my time staying in hotels, i have never had a breakfast as bad as this one. Nobody else was there and we went around 7:45/8:00, which is usually a busy time for breakfast. there was one very old high chair for our two year-old. But it was yellow with age and/or dirt. The food itself was terrible - chinese food was noodles and some mantou. Everything was dry and flavourless. Western food was a container with bacon and eggs. Salad was 4-5 uncovered bowls on a table. Want a drink? There is a bottle of minutemaid orange juice next to the salad. We left after 2 nights for a cheaper hotel near Xinghai square that was way better. I wouldnt pay a third of the price for this next time

This property is really old, full of smell and mold everywhere, and it is not a non-smoke hotel as advertised. Travelers should definitely avoid this property at all cost.

front desk is not ij lobby day shift limited english skills the gym not maintained the hallways dimly lit no bellhop or assistance with lugggage even with a fee towels not changed unless sign was out and they did not wipe table counters or vaccum because i had sticky residue two days and i had to clean myself the dryer was not functioning properly twice my toilet clogged and kitchen vent was not working since day one. unit though very spacious and room was bright with the windows fridge was full size and the bathroom a bonus walk in shower

The room doesn't look like the picture. Air condition is not cold. Everything is old and has mold smell. Don't expect things. By the way, staff was kind.

サウナは使う人が少ない為か、すぐにりようできなかった。朝食もこんなもんかなと種類はすくない。 味の好みもあるので何ともう言えないが、朝食としたら、おかゆ、白米、目玉焼き、スープ、パン、野菜など無難な量と味だと思う。 スタッフは日本人なれしていて、アパートメントと使用するなら最適。

ゆったりと過ごせます。

部屋は広くゆったりと過ごせました。洗濯機があったのも助かりました。ただ朝食はもうちょっと種類があればという感じです。 ６泊しましたが、朝食に行ったのはそのうちの半分。周辺は日本食のレストランが多くあります。地下鉄の駅まではちょっと遠さを感じる距離。

The location is good, 10 minutes walk from the station. And the staffs are really nice and kind! But there weren’t any instructions for the room and room service. And all hotel smells like cigarette.

絶対に勧めたいホテル。

旧サマーセットから経営が替わったためか、非常に格安な価格で泊まることが出来ました。ホテルというよりはアパートメントホテルという方がイメージが掴みやすいと思います。料金は安くても部屋、付帯設備備はとても綺麗でデザイン性も良く、サウナ、スチームバスは無料で利用することが出来ると教えてくれました。 レセプションの女性、ハウスキーパー等、スタッフは皆親切でボトルワインのコルク栓が開けられずに困っていると男性スタッフがわざわざ部屋まで栓を開けに来てくれました。大連が親日的な街ということを差し引いても今までこれほど快適に過ごせた宿泊施設はありません。季節の部屋代にもよりますが、大連の中心部人民路沿いにあり、今後、是非常宿の宿としたいです。

There is a hotel near the subway station. Going sightseeing is very convinient.The condition and facility of the room are also good.But riquest of the deposit is so expensive.The front clerks can speak English.

部屋にWi-Fiがありましたが、弱かったです。 子供2人を連れての滞在でしたが、部屋は十分な広さ、キッチン&洗濯機付きで非常に快適でした。

조아요 저렴한데도 방도 깨끗하고 청소상태 나쁘지않고. 촉흠 먼지가 있긴 합니다만? ㅎㅎ 그리고 조식도 가짓수가 너무 작지만 매일 바뀌는 편이구 택시도 잘잡아주고 ㅎㅎ 다만 단점이 있다면 관광하다가 호텔로 돌아갈때 이 호텔을 아는 택시기사님이 잘 없다는건데.... ㅋㅋ 바로 옆에 신세계 호텔이랑 갤러리아 백화점이 있으므로 차라리 거기를 얘기하는것이 좋슴다!!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 저는 3인실방두개룸이랑 2인실트윈배드룸 둘다 이용하였는데 다 좋았어요. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

旅行や出張に慣れた人であれば非常に良い施設です。 また、ビジネス街と下町の中間に位置するので、ロケーションは抜群です。近くに安価な食堂が多数あります。 部屋と窓は広いですが、真夏は日差しが入って暑いかもしれません。 真冬に一度利用したいと思います。

古さは否めないが、料金相応と思う。ハウスキーピングは中国らしくテキトーです（笑 きれい好きにはダメかも。

航空機の着陸地変更にて宿泊予定が変更となりましたが、マネージャーに至急の問い合わせにも親切に対応していただき、大変心強かったです。フロントも皆さん親切で好感が持てます。

古いホテルで、写真と違った。朝食は種類が少なくおまり美味しくない。

事前の調査が足りず、シャワー室しか無かったのが残念湯舟が欲しかった。時間的にジムの使用が出来なかったのが残念、それ以外は良かった。

スタッフの皆さんが凄く親切で対応が良かったです。 毎日部屋の掃除に来てくれてゴミが捨てられたので清潔に保つことが出来ました！

바닥 카펫 청소와 거실 청소 등이 조금 더 잘 되어있었으면 합니다. 조식 또한 좀 더 신경썼으면 합니다. 이외의 서비스, 룸 상태, 가성비 등은 전반적으로 괜찮았고 위치 또한 좋습니다.

2回目の宿泊です。中山広場と港湾広場の中間地点に立地しています。どちらの地下鉄の駅にも徒歩10分圏内で便利です。部屋は広く価格もリーズナブルだと思います。 フロントは男性、女性ともに優しく落ち着いた対応をしてくれるので多少言葉が通じなくともなんとかなりました。 チェックアウト時、優先してくれた事は大変ありがたかったです。 次回も宿泊したいと思います。

エアコンの冷房、暖房、送風がどのスイッチなのか分かりにくいです。温度設定、エアコンの効きが非常に悪い。

受付はとても親切で朝５時タクシーを手配して、用意周到でした。次回もまた利用したいです！

以前のサマーセットハーバーコートに比べて部屋のトイレットペーパー、ティッシュが少ししか補充されておらず、無くなれば予備もおいてない。朝食も1日目は宿泊客が少ないのかバイキングの量を調整して前日の残りも出している。 全体的に以前のサマーセットハーバーコートの方がいい。

市内中心地にあります。満足ですが、シャワーだけだったので値段が安いです。

Gym is functional and is a reasonable substitute for other paid gym facility outside. Cardio, weight machine are okay with enough dumbell for freeweight training.

4月4日に泊まったが、良いホテルだったので4月6日も一泊した。 オススメホテルの一つ。

친구들과 넷이 다녀왔는데 정말 만족스러웠습니다. 퀸침대 2개라 잠자리도 좋았고, 거실도 넓고!! 깨끗한 편이고 화장실 뜨거운 물도 잘나왔어요. 숙소가 중산광장 근처라서 택시타고 여기저기 이동하기에도 멀지 않았습니다. 완전 만족스러웠어요!!!

직원들의 손님을 대하는 서비스는 좋았으나, 호텔의 조식은 생각보다 좋지 않았음.

サマーセットハーバーコートの時には宿泊したことがありませんが、時計台ある目立つビルです。今回、初めて宿泊したのですが、台所、リビング、寝室は広く問題ありませんが、シャワー室、トイレが窮屈で、アンバランスで残念でした。設備は、冷蔵庫、洗濯機、台所用品とすべて完備ですので長期は安心です。場所的にはバス停、地下鉄とも中途半端に遠いので寒い時期はちょっと不便ですが、隣が名店街のビルなので食事は便利です。

항상 조용하고 친절하여 애용하는 호텔로 만족합니다.

夜1時過ぎるとお風呂のお湯が出ませんが、事前説明がなく、初日はお風呂、シャワー使えませんでした。それ以外は、英語さえ話せればとても快適です。近隣にはスーパーも多く、自炊にも便利です。グローバルブランドであれの徒歩15分にカルフールがあります。

Great room, location and service.

The accommodation is easy to connect with mass transportation and right in down town. Room condition and facility are beyond our expectation which was very impressive. Besides, reception staff was very helpful and generous.

Comfort and value for money

room clean, and conform bed. dryer washing machine, induction cooker provided, china ware, cutlery, glassware all in.... suitable to prepare light fresh seafood bought from market, especially in Dalian. But the odour smell came from toilet can be improve😬.

We can use kitchen and washing machine. These are very convenient even for short stay. WiFi is good enough. Pay attention to the check out time, since the reception opens at 7 am, so if you need to leave early, it's better to confirm beforehand by 10 pm. (The reception closes 10 pm.) They understand English basically. Subway station is not so far, about 10 minutes walk, and you can go to the airport directly. This is good as well. Around the hotel, there are lots of restaurants, especially for Japanese. They offer quite reasonable price to stay.

Room unhygienic conditions and Internet Services

1. When checked into room 2202 on 4 Aug 2018 initially, I found the Internet was not available and was advised from staff on duty that problem of the Internet cannot fixed until Monday 6 Aug 2018 because no IT support is available at the weekend. 2. The room was as not cleaning and new as photo showed on expedia website 3. Furthermore, I found one shower towel is under extremely unhygienic condition on 5 Aug 2018 after cleaned up my body in the showering, please see photos as evidences. I reported the incident to service staff on duty immediately. 4. I have discussed the above issues with Apartment Customer Managers a few times, but no solution was reached when I checked out on 6 Aug 2018

父と娘（私）の旅行でしたので、２ベッドルームを予約しました。 とても広々としていて、それぞれの部屋にトイレがあり、 一つの部屋にはお風呂、一つの部屋にはシャワーがついていましたので、 プライバシーが保たれ、着替えなども気を使わず快適でした。 調理器具もあり、果物を買って、果物ナイフで向いて食べました。 居間のソファーが気持ちよく、父は、疲れたらテレビを見ながら寝ころんで くつろいていました。 景色も最高です。

Great location

We stayed in a 1 bedroom executive suite. The bedroom was very large and had a king size bed that was firm and comfortable. The bed linens were very comfortable as well. There are two closets and a safe. The windows open and there is no balcony. They have sheer curtains and blackout curtains. The living room area is very large and can accommodate guest for entertaining. There are two dining chairs and a chair at the desk area. The cooking area has 2 electric burners, a large refrigerator, a hot water electric kettle and some cooking supplies and utensils. There is also a washing machine and a drying rack for your clothing. The bathroom is 3/4 with some mold in the grout area. (Not bad, just could use more cleaning on the walls) The cabinets in the bathroom have worn surfaces. The bathroom itself is good size with a large shower area and good water pressure. The only negative that we encountered about our room is that we asked for a non smoking room. We could tell that this room had been used previously by smokers. The smell was not over powering but was evident.

The location was great, and the room very spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is that the internet connection was lost periodically

happy to have found this hotel/apartment.- i did need to upgrade to a one bedroom after initially reserving a studio. i found the windows in the studio too small and it was dark. but the upgrade was well worth it - i enjoyed my stay very much. i was quite comfortable, secure and in a location to have access to all of Dalian. also, surprisingly, there were 9 english speaking television channels including HBO and breakfast had an english language daily newspaper available. really nice.. all personnel were great, too - front desk, main office, cleaning staff - i thank them very much.

It was a very good hotel with a lot of attractions nearby. The room was very good and the breakfast we as expected in China. For the room rate in that neighborhood this is an excellent choice and I will stay there again.

Good value for the location and amenities such as washer/dryer combo and the kitchen, but overall, it is not as nicely furnished as a regular hotel in that price range. Breakfast is above average.

Free breakfast not for both occupants

Overall, the hotel was good and he room was clean. When I booked the room, it was indicated that there will be free breakfast. However, when going for my breakfast, the hotel staff informed me that I am only entitled to one free breakfast. This was not indicated on the Hotels.com website as it only says there will be free breakfast. Naturally, since I am staying with my girlfriend, I would expect it would be free breakfast for both of us. In the end, we have to pay for it. This is is unusual based on my previous experience booking on hotels.com.

Good choice

The hotel was well-kept and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was reasonable. There was a local night market right behind the hotel and very convenient access to lots of shopping. I had a Japanese-style studio room, which was comfortable. My only complaint is that although they said that my room was a non-smoking room, I could tell very clearly that it is only "non-smoking" when the current patron does not smoke in the room! I could smell the smoke clearly in the drapes, although the linens were clean . I believe that this is an issue in many/most hotels in China and not specific to Somerset, however, I believe that their ad description on Hotels.com should not so emphatically state that there are a "smoke-free" hotel.

Convenient hotel for reasonable price

Overall is good, the room has some leftover smoke smell. I chose this place before it stated that it was supposed to be a smoke-free building, but it was not.Very convenient location, room was decent enough for the price, but the bath room is too small and the window for stdio is small too, not enought light in the room. A little bit old, need remodel.

Good stay but not smoke-free premise

All is good, except for the fact that it wasn't really smoke-free premise. we saw the security people smoked INSIDE the building as well as some people smoked at the breakfast place. The room has some leftover smoke smell. I chose this place before it stated that it was supposed to be a smoke-free building, but it was not.

Nice hotel , very well located

Helpfull english speaking staff. Hotel is located along the mainstreet. However the entrance is located in a side road in the back side. Was very confusing to locate the entrance. No signs at all. Busstop to Laohutan ocean park is located just infront of the hotel and to the main railwaystation on the otherside of the road. Zhongzang park is located on walking distance.

Ideal accommadation

Truly a remarkable location for its price and service. The Shangri-La hotel is across the street so you know the high end retail is all around. My studio room was large and amenities were plenty. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was reasonable. Too bad the I didn't plan a longer stay at the Ideal place.

Great Place Great People

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms (we had three rooms) were more than you can ask for. The only two things that I might say were, a) there was no cooking ware so the stove was basically useless. b)there wasn't much of ocean view as they advertised. Other than that it was an excellent place to stay. The units offered much more than four/five stars hotels can offer with separeted living room area and bedroom area. Even the smallest unit our children stayed was much bigger than standard hotel room. One member in our group forgot to take her money out of the safe box on the day we checked out. She didn't realize it until the day after. We called the hotel and were told that they found the money and were trying to contact us, even tried hotels.com when they couldn't find our contact information. When we went back to the hotel we found the money was placed in a sealed envelop. The cleaning lady the supervisor , the front desk staff all signed on the envelop to ensure nothing was taken from it. We will use this hotel again and will recommend it to friends, for sure!

This is an ideal place to stay if you are wanting a long term stay and do not want to stay in an hotel. It is bastically a self contained apartment with all facialites but you also have the option to use hotel facilities so the best of both worlds! Idelaly placed for downtown and business and best of all i managed to get a fantastic price and would not hesitate on staying again when next in Dalian!!

Hidden Treasure for Local Expats

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Somerset. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating to us. We live in the area and this was and will be a treasure to us and our expat friends around here. Recommending to all here.

Not only for business

I must say, it was an overall very good experience. It was my first time to stay in a serviced residence and it was like living at home with the comfort of a hotel. The room was cleaned every day and even special requests, like more coffee in the morning or paper for my work was granted without delay. The check-in and out procedures were great, the staff friendly and english is a common language in this hotel. Since I was there in February, I was very happy about the working heater and hot water. The location is great. Easy to find, many stores and restaurants and bars nearby and the hotel amenities would even allow to stay there for a month without going out :-) I'm coming back!
