It's a decent budget hotel but very noisy and not soundproof at all.
This hotel is in the very city centre - you can walk anywhere in the Old Town within about 10 minutes.

- • The mattress is a bit old - with two human-sized indentations in a double bed -, the rooms are tiny and the bathroom is virtually a shower cabin with a toilet and a sink inside. But everything was clean and staff was professional and helpful if not always friendly. First and foremost: if you’re noise-sensitive, don’t stay here. The first room I got was next to the elevator, which was producing a sequence of scraping and metallic clunking noises whenever it went up and down that my wax earplugs weren’t able to keep out. This went on throughout the night so I got almost no sleep at all. In the morning I asked to be moved to another room. Still wafer-thin walls but at least now I was dealing only with the usual hotel noise of people staying up late, getting up early and having conversations in the hallway in front of other people’s rooms. In the 3rd night I noticed that there was a restaurant kitchen right underneath my room where - on Friday night - someone was scraping pots, sorting plates etc. and making other noises until after midnight. This is all fine, only the architecture is such that all of this was very audible in my room.

Super central location, it couldn't be better; very functional equipment, small but modern; breakfast with a surprisingly large selection and great quality; very good value for money, especially for Danish standards

- • The toilet couldn't flush properly. Many flushes just to empty properly. The shower was terrible. The stream turned towards the wall so you couldn't wash properly. No ventilation in the bathroom.
Unpleasant experience with poor access to the room in terms of reaching the window and roller blind.
I know CabInn after having stayed there many times in the last 20 years. Initially never had anything to complain about.

- • First got a room where the bed occupied the access to open/close the window. Couldn't manage to pull down the roller blind because I couldn't "climb" over the bed to do this. Not better in room number 2, one of the staff managed to "push" the bed a little so that I could barely reach the window. Was probably very unlucky, as I was bothered by the sound of the elevator that was against the wall in the room. Finally got a room that was almost like the first room: Tight to get to the window. Not suitable at all for a person with some mobility problems, should be mentioned in their marketing. There were also far too many people staying overnight and having breakfast at the same time. This became a problem for me who has poor balance and needs to use crutches to stand in line. There were people queuing for food, and people queuing to put their trays away after breakfast. I have never experienced this in all these nearly 20 years I have stayed at CabInn, neither in my dear hometown Aarhus, in Vejle nor in Copenhagen.
