- • The building is not maintained, the surfaces are worn and need repainting. Wall-to-wall carpets should be removed as they are dirty, dusty, and smell bad. The bathroom smelled of mold. Loud noise from the street, hotel corridors, and rooms next door is disturbing. Young receptionists seemed more interested in socializing and laughing with each other than in being professional and having their social interactions somewhere other than behind the check-in desk.

- • We stayed at the hotel on a weekend day. Our room faced the canal. The bar next door was open well past midnight with loud music. So the location is not optimal for sensitive sleepers

- • We stayed for two nights. The first night was terrible and was genuinely one of the worst 'sleeps' I've ever had in a 'hotel'. We were first placed in a room that overlooked the square with a single glazed window that didn't shut properly, and it was so loud due to the bars not closing until 1-2am. It felt like we were just sitting on a bench in the square. When it did get a little quiet after the bars closed, our corridor became lively with drunk men knocking and slamming on doors. It drove me to the point where I had to go to reception at 2am in my PJs in tears to ask to swap rooms (we were unable to until the following morning). In the morning, the staff were apologetic and moved us to a much quieter room at the back overlooking the courtyard. This was much better, however, having only had 2 hours of sleep the night before, our short trip to Aarhus was already somewhat ruined. Although we appreciated getting a better room the second night, and the staff were nice, we should never have been placed in the first room to start with. It wasn't fit for purpose or appropriate. The window didn't work, and it turns out most other rooms on the floor were occupied by lads competing in a sailing competition, which makes sense as it felt like we were in a male dorm at uni after they were celebrating the end of term (rubbish and chairs were also in the hallway which stank). Randomly placing two adult women in the same corridor just wasn't appropriate or fair. If you are on a relaxing holiday, or business trip, or basically aren't there to party and do not want hostel vibes, I would either request specific rooms at the back, or simply don't stay there.

- • It was a deal but you could hardly be in the room at the same time when there were 2 of you. The room faced the street where there was a party until 2 am and then it sounded like the craftsmen started at 6-6:30 am - very noisy. When flushing the toilet, you had to flush 3-4 times before it was flushed. We had 2 rooms and the above was common for them - however, more space in one room.
