Hotel with nice public areas and good location but the rooms and ventilation are in need of updating
Good location in Santa Ponca, about a 15-minute walk along the water to get to the center. But there were plenty of restaurants and supermarkets even outside the hotel. Nice pool area.

- • Incredibly worn-out room that smelled of mold. Inside the ventilation duct and on the wall outside, there was black mold. When we pointed it out, they cleaned the ventilation area and painted(!) the wall. But the smell was back the next day, so it's a bigger problem in the entire ventilation system that runs through our room and the neighbors'. It needs a proper cleaning, not just regular cleaning. My son got sick during our stay, and I suspect it's because of the black mold, unfortunately. As compensation, we received a small gift jar of nuts, which I don't think corresponds to the trouble.
Ok overall, but overpriced. Kids enjoyed it but not sure we’d return
The food was quite good for what it was. Breakfast and dinner were consistently and surprisingly reasonable. The hotel was clean, and the staff were attentive. The pool was clean. The kids' club and entertainment were great for our 2 young kids - Sandra was fantastic!

- • The hotel was all quite dated and in dire need of refurbishment. In its heyday, it probably was very impressive, but that was a while ago. Our room was upgraded and was quite tired. The patio area had paint and render falling off, with a rusty handrail. The safety deposit box was broken. A mirror was broken and had a bodged repair. The worst thing was the sliding doors. One in our bedroom didn’t lock properly, so we had to call maintenance, and to be fair, they fixed it straight away by bolting it shut. But it meant we couldn’t open it anymore. The other door didn’t open properly without serious jiggery-pokery. It was quite ridiculous, and I was informed all the doors are like that! They probably needed replacing in the 1980s.

Comfortable room close to the beach and restaurants.
Great location right on the water and close to the beach and restaurants. A pool is nice to have too. The room was comfortable with the kitchen, table, and couch.
