- • Don't look at the money, it's worth every cent (we paid 260€/24h). I think it's the best breakfast I've ever experienced and believe me, because I have over 70/80 bookings per year on the Booking platform (it is still a private property and not a 5-star hotel).

Hotel Villa Marsili was an absolute highlight of our trip to Italy, and the staff are what made it truly special. Marina, the manager, went above and beyond from the moment we arrived — she was incredibly accommodating, warm, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our stay. Her hospitality set the tone for the whole visit. The breakfast alone is worth the trip. Every single morning brought a fresh spread of homemade savory and sweet items, never the same twice. It felt less like a hotel breakfast and more like being hosted by family. What really stood out, though, was the thoughtfulness behind the scenes. I have several food allergies, and Carmen, the chef, took the time to make me special cantucci so I wouldn't miss out on the sweet treats everyone else was enjoying. That kind of personal touch is rare, and it didn't go unnoticed. Between the warmth of the staff, the incredible food, and the genuine care shown to guests, Hotel Villa Marsili exceeded every expectation. I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Italy.

A lovely base in Cortona.
The hotel is very elegant and stylish, set within easy walking distance of central Cortona. The reception staff were great, always friendly and helpful.
