Great location, but not 5-star standard - disappointing experience
The hotel impresses with a fantastic location and a very dedicated staff that promptly responded to complaints in the room.

- • The decor is visibly outdated and no longer meets the current standard of this category. We were informed about construction work only three days before arrival. Since the restaurant is closed and breakfast is served on the ground floor in the conference rooms. We were greeted with little warmth at the reception. A deposit of €50 per person/day was required (so €100 daily for two people), which adds up over the duration of the stay. Particularly annoying: the amount was only credited back after explicit telephone inquiry after departure. This is my personal opinion, but everyone should form their own opinion. Maybe it was just the wrong time in the right place.
I liked it and maybe I'll come back sometime
The breakfast was really very good, varied and plentiful. The location of the hotel is good, but unfortunately it was noisy towards the Alster. Next time, I would choose a room facing the back.

- • The wellness area or the swimming pool is very small and the water temperature is not warm enough. The price for the garage of €38 is crazy high and unacceptable.....
Perfect stay if we had gotten a different room that was next to the elevator

- • We had a room right next to the elevator, so we didn't fall asleep until around 2:00 in the morning, as we could clearly hear it going up and down all the time
