Excellent!!!
It was a very tough week from a work perspective but the Hotel's responsiveness made it a very enjoyable
1. Check-in was very smooth with the impressive and very professional Sarah full of good information. 2. I used Room service a lot all week. Service was prompt and food quality and temperature were excellent. 3. The Room was in good condition and a traditional Shangri-la Hotel room that I have stayed in on numerous occasions around the world. The bed and linen were comfortable. The desk was good as I needed to work quite a lot in the room. 4. Calina from Guest Relations was extremely helpful in making my reservation for a family trip next month. She rescued me from a serious online booking error so I am very grateful to her. I have booked the newly renovated rooms for the family visit. 5. I used the spa and the therapist Clarence is truly outstanding. 6. I used the gym twice and liked it very much.

- • 1. I suppose the ride to the airport took a long time due to heavy traffic. Previously I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental a lot and it has easier access to the Western tunnel. 2. There is nothing that I could honestly criticize. I stayed in the Hotel a lot in the 2010-2014 period and I would say that the Hotel is operating at a much higher level today.
Wonderful stay, and can't wait to come back on our next trip to Hong Kong
The room was beautifully appointed; a newly renovated room with a fantastic view over the peak. Very large by Hong Kong standards. Comfortable bed, more than sufficient space for luggage storage. The staff were endlessly helpful throughout the stay. The location is very convenient. The pool area is lovely, and the spa was fantastic. In-room dining selection was also great and reasonable in price for hotels of this class. The staff treated us to a lovely bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary, which was a wonderful touch.

- • The renovated rooms lack a bathtub and a bidet. We are used to having a bidet back home and in most hotels we stay in, so that was missed. The staff was confused at check-in, which took a little bit longer than expected, as we had opted to 'upgrade' our booking to one of the renovated rooms, and instead of paying just the upgrade amount, initially they tried to charge us the full nightly rate for that room category. It was sorted in the end, but that was the only 'issue'. The taxi rank is not particularly well served by local taxis, so keep that in mind when planning departures.
A delightful experience. I love Hong Kong and this made the stay perfect
