Promised more than it delivered
Most of the staff were excellent and very attentive. Breakfast was high quality. At first glance, the hotel seemed opulent. Water pressure in the shower was outstanding.

- • After a little while in the hotel, it felt more cluttered than luxurious. There were no open spaces just to gather as a group informally and it all felt very curated as to where we could socialise. Bathrooms felt very old fashioned and did not feel relaxing or stylish. Very dark rooms. Very expensive and in my opinion was not value for money.

Beautiful, good for a short stay
Beautiful setting, lovely hotel and great breakfast. Close enough to the start of the walk to Arthur’s seat.

- • Early check-in was troublesome, despite asking 3 times, it was never confirmed so on arrival there was a long wait (not ideal after a 4 am start). I could have made other plans had there been communication. Not that near to anything else so if staying for a while perhaps stay elsewhere.
We will definitely be back for another amazing experience!
