Excelente viaje de vacaciones de primavera!
The Royal Sands in Cancun is an amazing place to stay! My family and I went for vacation and enjoyed every aspect of the resort. Our villa was great, lots of space and a great view. Tons of activities (pool, beach, aqua park) for adults and kids. The food was amazing, great variety. Thomas Moore Transportation brought us to and from the airport - great service provided and the people were very welcoming and nice. 10/10 vacation! would definitely go back!

- • The reception staff is cold. And the staff in charge of 'presenting' the hotel who presents you with excursions, massages, and boat tours that I found unpleasant and especially sneaky. We don't speak English very well, she told us about a short presentation that was supposed to last 90 minutes, except we understood 19 minutes. 19 minutes was not much so I accepted, then she printed a document where it says 90 minutes and that if I don't show up, 500 pesos would be taken from the security deposit. I then told her that at no time did she mention this amount and that by reading the document I realize that it's 90 minutes and not 19 and that it's too long for me, a waste of time during my short stay and in the middle of the afternoon. I told her I no longer wanted to participate and then she replied very disdainfully, 'You don't mind losing 500 pesos then.' I was outraged and asked her to cancel my presence and that I would complain to the management. These are scammer-like methods! I will surely return to Cancun but not to this establishment. This welcome was the black spot of our vacation and from the first day, it was very off-putting. Also, read the information carefully because if you don't arrive on a Saturday, you will have to change rooms on Saturday in the middle of your vacation and pack all your belongings because reservations are from Saturday to Saturday.

Beautiful resort with amazing pools, but the food and service logistics are poor. The pools and splash pad are incredible and perfect for families. The resort has huge potential to be a 5-star experience as the facilities themselves are beautiful. The room was big and we loved it.

- • The Food: Truly disappointing. It was tasteless and poor quality—a major letdown. Pool Seating: A nightmare. People grab chairs at 6:00 AM, and there is nowhere to sit if you arrive later. The hotel must manage this better. Spa: Way overpriced, triple the rates in the US. Beach: Too much seaweed which brings endless bugs/gnats. Bottom line: Great potential, but the food and seating issues ruined the luxury feel.

Fun Activities at the Royal Sands!
Royal Sands Activities Team are number one #1! We would like to applaud and give a big shout out to the activities team at the Royal Sands. All of the activities staff made our stay a very enjoyable and memorable one, filled with lots of fun and laughter. Walter, Roger, Omar, Sofia, Rodrigo, & Zairy are the best! They keep a smile on their faces despite a grueling schedule of back-to-back fun activities for all ages. They work as a team with energy, laughter, & pazass. They lead everyone desiring to join in the fun of the day with morning yoga & water aerobics, pool games, beach volleyball, Mexican bingo (Loteria) at noon, kids club, bingo, dance lessons, casino card games in the afternoon and Wednesday Casino fun playing blackjack and Texas Hold'em and last but not least Karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Entertainment at its best! Thanks for making the activities at the Royal Sands so much fun for everyone! We also appreciate the activities center office managers Karla & Felix. Muchas Gracias to all of you for a job well done!

Nice bell boy
Pedro the bell boy was excellent. On the other hand, people in charge of activities were not the best, not as nice as they were years ago. Food 👎🏼 ceviches had no taste. Chicken fingers were the best. Love that we have a kitchen in the apartments. Perfect location. Love the beach.
