Magnificent rooftop and pool with panoramic view of Copacabana. You can also sunbathe on sun loungers on the rooftop, avoiding the need to go to the beach. Spacious rooms.

- • The hotel needs a refresh (the rooms, the decor, and the carpets need refreshing). The gym is too small and poorly equipped. Despite the hotel being on Copacabana beach, there is a lot of begging in the area.

- • The hotel's facilities are somewhat outdated. The beach chairs are not comfortable. It would be better to provide loungers. The beach staff is excellent!
Excellent location, Excellent & friendly staff
The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating - thank you for the coffees while we waited to check in. We were given good recommendations for dinner/lunch options close by, which we indeed very nice. We are grateful for the hospitality of using the Miramar's chairs/towels etc on the beach, which is across the road from the hotel. The location is spot-on fantastic and bang-on Copacabana. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, as we wanted to explore and try local food, which are literally all along the streets in any direction.

- • The gym is quite basic and likely not to be satisfactory for those with a more dedicated fitness routine. Additionally, the steam room had an unpleasant odour on several occasions during my stay. Please consider using eucalyptus/similar deodorants. A heads-up for fellow travellers: the final price on Booking.com may not reflect the full cost. Between the local service fees and Rio’s current tourism taxes, the 'at-checkout' price can be significantly higher. I recommend contacting the hotel directly before booking to confirm the total additional fees so you aren't caught off guard. The staff at Miramar were very gracious and apologetic (thank you)
