The hotel is a beauty, staying in a part of Portugal's history. It is very true to the original palace. The service attention is excellent, and the quality of the meals in both the restaurant and breakfast, exceptional. The silence and calm of the place are other values to highlight, especially considering how crowded Sintra is these days.

- • Everything was excellent. Just as a constructive suggestion, one could hope that the gardens were better maintained and equipped for enjoyment. Even annexing some areas that seemed closed off. Just as a potential improvement, and this in no way affects the stay.

Not the polished experience we expected for the cost as if they were just opening for the season
A beautiful building to look at. We enjoyed the pool area and the breakfast experience was exceptional as were the restaurant staff.

- • The gardens were disappointing as if abandoned. The reception guy who showed us to our room and sat at reception (beard) barely acknowledged us as we came and went.
