Bitter disappointment
What an underwhelming high tea experience, certainly not what you would expect from such a magnificent mansion. The only benefit was the free flowing prosecco, but that was it. The sandwiches were dry, the hot food didn't come out at the beginning but when the sweets were nearly finished and they were lukewarm. The vegetarian and vegan options were lacking in savoury and sweet but charged the $99. Certainly not value for money. The gardens are worth a wander through.

Avoid if you want to rest and relax
Shocking, came for a night away to escape enjoy the gardens. Instead the music for a wedding they are holding is blaring and will not be wrapped up until 1145. Dirty room, wet floors, noisey and overpriced. Definitely would suggest avoiding. Not impressed at all. Couldn’t even enjoy the gardens due to the weddings. Very disappointed

Mansion Hotel, peaceful oasis
Beautiful building in magnificent surroundings. Lovely helpful staff. Great breakfast. The bedrooms are a bit disappointing, they are in the newer building and quite dark and a bit old fashioned. Ours overlooked the dusty car park. We paid extra for superior, so we're surprised at this. Very comfortable bed and decent quality bed linen. The swimming pool and steam rooms are lovely. We did the complimentary tour of the mansion (owned by Parks Victoria) which was really interesting. The gardens are quite special. Very peaceful break.

Not worth it both financially and for comfort
Very ordinary ! A couples room with 1 chair . TV situated where the person on the far side of the bed couldnt see it . Tea but no coffee . A tiny main meal that wouldn't have fed my 10 yo grandson but was ridiculously priced . And we -who both struggle with mobility- and other older people parked where we were supposed to but management didn't enforce their own rules when a young fully abled couple parked at the front steps for few hours after checking in and then again overnight . Also a pokey and claustrophobic room .

Flowers for Shirley 🌺
We went to a wedding in the gardens and stayed for the festivities however we had trouble locating our car late at night. Shirley at the front desk was very friendly and a big help. Thank you Shirley!

Very poor accommodation standards
This is far from a 5 star hotel and the Lancemore Hotel Group should be totally embarrassed with offering this very poor standard of accommodation at such an overpriced cost. The rooms are very tired and dated. The ensuite in our room was patched up with a spa that has virtually gone yellow from age with many chips and scratch marks. The ensuite is also hazardous as the water is not contained to the shower itself and constantly leaks out to the ensuite floor. There was even a missing piece in the blind leaving sunlight to get through. The was one female bar staff member was very rude and arrogant with her service when we simply wanted fresh water on one occasion and she made us wait before telling us to use a near empty tank for self service. The gym area is also very tiny and does not have a lot of equipment at all. This also included a treadmill which was not working too! We have stayed at many hotels in the past and this is far one of the worst that we have stayed at. As a result, my recommendation would be to avoid this hotel and go somewhere else!

Phenomenal
Just spent a full week at the Lancemore Mansion hotel holidaying in Melbourne from the UK. I would like to give a massive shout out to Jit and his amazing breakfast staff I was really happy with how warm and friendly they all were and nothing was too much trouble at any point throughout my stay here. The breakfast choice was amazing and if you wanted different options the chefs were happy to cook this for you. I really enjoyed my breakfast every morning and wow they even had my favourite lurpak butter. The cleaning ladies who cleaned my room each day did a super amazing job ( room 102) they made sure everything was spotlessly cleaned throughout and I didn’t want for anything. In any case if I requested additional supplies the members of staff went above and beyond. I got so use to being here that on my day of departure I really didn’t want to leave this place is steeped in history and is quite fascinating there is always something going off and I really enjoyed the nature around and even the beautiful hot sunshine. The spa was a haven you definitely come out of there feeling so relaxed and that’s why I chose this mansion hotel so that I felt so relaxed before my long flight back to the UK. The hotel exceeded in my expectations and the views and grounds are just phenomenal. Sooooo beautiful. The little cafeteria was so awesome the cakes were divine and the staff who run this day in and day out are the sweetest human beings. I have some incredible memories to take back home because of you all and your kind hospitality thank you so very very much. Lynda ❤️

THE PERFECT GETAWAY
Loved the friendliness and calm manner of the staff, nothing was too much for them. All questions answered with respect. The package we were on included a buffet breakfast and highly recommend it. The rose garden was exceptional and the overall gardens are well maintained. The mansion is huge and its a "must see" for everyone. The wine tasting at ShadowX winery was within walking distance and were given expert knowledge in winemaking. Our room was warm and cosy with queen bed and a modern bathroom and large shower. Spa and heated pool, also couples hammam made the stay special. Fine dining available in the restaurant with a bar makes it the perfect stay. Congratulations to all.

Extremely disappointed.
We stayed at Lancemore Werribee Hotel for one night to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary, booking a $630 “Superior Room Package” that included dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of the expectations associated with a five-star property and of the price paid. Accommodation Although we were allowed early check-in (which we appreciated), the assigned room was disappointing in both design and cleanliness. The bathroom was almost entirely finished in stainless steel, giving the impression of a public facility rather than a luxury suite. The black floor tiles were stained, grout lines dirty, and the overall maintenance clearly lacking. A second set of towels, bathrobes, and slippers were not provided upon arrival. After contacting reception, it took over three hours for these items to arrive — and when they finally did, they were simply left on the desk without any courtesy or apology. The carpet was visibly worn, and the windows appeared not to have been cleaned for some time. Service and Experience When booking, my husband noted that we were celebrating our anniversary. The hotel acknowledged this by leaving a bottle of wine and a card in the room — which makes it even more disappointing that we were placed in such a poorly maintained room. Dinner was also mishandled. Our reservation was for 7:00 pm, but upon arrival we were told that if we wanted a table by the window, we should “come back later,” despite visible empty tables. Only after insisting was a suitable table provided. Later, when paying for a two glasses of wine, sides a sparkling water (not included in the package), the waiter incorrectly wanted to charge as for the full dinner as well — demonstrating a lack of internal communication and staff training. Overall Impression: This stay regrettably did not meet the standards expected from a five-star property. The facilities are in need of refurbishment, and staff training in hospitality and guest service should be a priority. For the rate charged and the prestige associated with the Lancemore brand, the overall experience was well below acceptable industry standards. What should have been a special and memorable anniversary turned into a sequence of disappointments caused by poor attention to detail and indifference to guest comfort. An official complaint will be submitted to Star Ratings Australia, the organization responsible for the accreditation and monitoring of hotel quality standards nationwide.

Not even close to 5 stars
They should be shameful to classify themselves a 5 star hotel. Having stayed in many hotels both domestically and internationally, I would have to say that this hotel comes nowhere near 5 stars for both service and standards. Where do I start? We booked the Wine & Dine package for our anniversary , and while arriving at the property the outside parkland surrounds were quite nice, however inside was a different story, with this hotel in urgent need of a renovation. Carpets dirty and smelling, paint flaking off the hand rails windows filthy. The Superior room we booked had old and worn furnishings, no table, TV didn't work and worst of all was the bathroom which had dirty tiles, exhaust fan didn't work and very basic stainless steel bench tops, similar to what is found in public toilets. There were insufficient towels, no bath robe or slippers and upon request they arrived 3 hrs later. I have stayed at cheap motel rooms that are nicer. The restaurant we had pre booked for a 7pm dinner and upon arrival we were told there was insufficient seating and to return later . Overall even though the staff tried their best to attend to us, the place is generally s under staffed and not organized. Overall very disappointed with our stay.
