Great location, charming hotel perfect hosts. Thanks
Amazing hotel in possibly the best location in Oxford. We stayed five nights for a romantic city revisit. Many visitors for sure will enjoy the old world charm of the building. For me this was less important having grown up in a similar environment. What struck me was the amazing experience provided by the staff, all of whom, without exception, were customer focused and extremely pleasant making our stay super enjoyable. A big shout out to Stefan in particular for his ability not only to read our moods but also to take the lead in managing our entire experience. This leadership and intelligence meant we were always perfectly looked after. He'll make an excellent hotel manager wherever he decides to go. Also we have to say that dining is probably the best in the area and we would recommend the restaurant to hotel guests and city visitors alike. Thank you all for such a wonderful time. We really enjoyed and look forward to being able to return.

- • Given the relatively high room rate, I thought our room could have been made more ergonomic with furniture made to measure for the space. We were offered a free upgrade (which we declined) and that's not really the point. Design the room for living in when full of people and baggage not just to look at. A final point maybe is that the breakfast menu was a little meanly designed - the dishes were excellent everything perfectly cooked - but I do prefer a breakfast that offers generous (ie unlimited) coffee and buffet access within a global price. I want to be clear that these are niggles and not in any way anything that detracted significantly from our extremely pleasant stay.
Very pleasant but a little expensive for such a small room.

Superb hotel with exemplary service
On every count — location, helpfulness of staff, atmosphere — it’s difficult to think that the Old Parsonage Hotel could be bettered for a stay in Oxford. While it is pricey, one has no difficult in seeing what one is getting for the cost. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean, admirably equipped with quality toiletries and bath-robes, and blissfully quiet, despite the hotel’s centrality, situated as it is in the middle of town at the meeting point of the Banbury and Woodstock Roads. The attention to detail is exemplary. When my overzealous credit card company decided to suspend my card because they were surprised to see a succession of charges made against it in England rather than my home country, staff allowed me to sort the problem out with an international call on their phone. In short, nothing was too much trouble for them. We would certainly stay there on any future trip to Oxford.

A wonderful, relaxing place to stay close to the centre of Oxford
The hotel is extremely well located near the city centre, but just outside the congestion zone, and has well organised parking facilities for guests - a real bonus in Oxford. The Old Parsonage is beautifully presented and decorated and is an extremely comfortable and relaxed place to stay. In particular, all the staff, reception, bar, restaurant and room service could not have been more pleasant, helpful and obliging. The food is of a very high standard, especially the breakfasts.

Could do better
Paid £450 a night and you get leaks on the windows, also, Be aware, they take a pre authorisation on your debit card when you check in, to cover the full room charge for the duration of your stay, then you are charged in full when you check out, I now have £1000 less funds to use in my account until the pending transaction is reversed, hotel just said’tough. Also, very small bar area for a hotel.
