Recommendations for those who will enjoy the atmosphere of Yogyakarta
All accommodations are good, maybe because the hotel is old, there are some shortcomings, which is normal. Immediate service when there is a complaint.

- • Only mineral water is provided in the room, no refillable dispenser available so you have to contact the hotel service or go out to find it.
Very nice glassware
Especially the extensive breakfast buffet. Massages are also highly recommended.

Convenient location next to Malioboro Street, Mt. Merapi view can be seen from afar (if there are no clouds), diverse breakfast, friendly staff. They promptly replenished necessary items (towels, mineral water, etc.) upon request.

- • Room cleaning was delayed, long check-in waiting time. There was a toilet smell in the bathroom inside the room.
Great value - would pay a bit more on any future visit
Breakfast was very good with a wide local and international selection, well presented and good quality. The poached eggs were 'ace' and arrived exactly as ordered. Staff were polite and very helpful, they even provided access cards for our rail trip to Solo - they needed to be topped-up but along with the advice made life so much easier. Terrific location - short walk to Malioboro street - recommended for lots of local and tourist shopping. Maps available at the Tourist Office. Live bands in the evening at the weekend - not sure about other evenings. Good Chinese restaurant in the mall.

- • The hotel was clearly a grand old lady who had weathered well, and I couldn't help but think what travelers in the early days would have felt arriving in this oasis. We didn't try the pool, it is smallish but it looked great and in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and ponds full of colorful carp.
Very good and if possible, eat outside.

Outstanding hospitality and seamless coordination
I had a wonderful experience coordinating a small birthday gift with the team from afar. Due to unexpected travel changes, I was unable to be in Yogyakarta for my best friend’s check-in/birthday. The staff was incredibly responsive to my messages and calls, executing a plan on short notice with total professionalism. Thanks to 'Their 'can-do' attitude'. I am so thankful for their quick actions and highly recommend this hotel for their world-class service. Lyly
